What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt glass cutter is a mixed performer. Many users found it effective for basic glass cutting tasks, praising its comfortable handle, smooth roller, and ability to make clean, precise cuts. However, some reported issues with thicker glass, insufficient scoring, and undesirable glass breakage. Proper use and maintenance, such as oiling the cutter, appears important for optimal results. The cutter may not be suitable for more demanding applications or thicker glass.

Awkward with too small a cutting wheel.
Would Not RecommendI bought the glass cutter to cut a mirror. The design of the cutter was awkward to hold and if it wasn’t held at the correct angle all the length of the mirror it didn’t score the glass. The cutting wheel was so small it was difficult to see if I was cutting exactly where I wanted to be cutting. The mirror did not snap properly and was destroyed. I intend to return it for a refund. Unfortunately the cost of the mirror is a greater loss.

Good for thin glass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, the Kobalt 6-in Glass Cutter has been super helpful cutting through thin sheets of glass. I haven't found it to be as easier with thicker glass, but that I could be because I haven't practiced enough. Applying the right amount of pressure was no problem with the think glass, but the thicker glass is proving to be trickier and my edges aren't as clean.

Overall Good Cutter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cutter is a reliable choice for basic glass cutting, especially with thinner projects. Its comfortable grip helps you maintain control for precise cuts. Keep in mind, it usually needs firm pressure and a few scoring passes, so it might not be the best fit for very detailed or complex cutting tasks. However, it performs really well when working with thinner glass, making it a helpful tool for many glass and ceramic creative projects.

Great product
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works great and was awesome for cutting small glass pieces for a craft project I did with homeschool students. It does sometimes leave a bit of an edge on it so be prepared with some low grit sandpaper to get any off. Otherwise great.

Great for classroom projects
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a teacher, I appreciate how easy the Kobalt 6" glass cutter is to use. The grip is comfortable, and it scores clean, straight lines, perfect for simple stained glass or mosaic projects with students. Just keep in mind it’s best for straight cuts, not curves.

6 inch glass cutter
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a handy sized glass cutter. The handle has a nice grip and the cutter is very sharp. It is great to use on not only glass but other objects that are about the same hardness as glass, I would think.

Pretty good!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is great for very basic glass cutting projects. It has to be very thin glass. I’ve found it won’t work on thick glass. It is nice to hold and easy to control. It’s great for stained glass projects!

Handy Sharpener
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This straight edge sharpener is very handy to have at home. It's different than the whetstones I remember my dad using with oil. This requires no lubricant or you can use it with a bit of plain water.
