What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt glass cutter is a mixed performer. Many users found it effective for basic glass cutting tasks, praising its comfortable handle, smooth roller, and ability to make clean, precise cuts. However, some reported issues with thicker glass, insufficient scoring, and undesirable glass breakage. Proper use and maintenance, such as oiling the cutter, appears important for optimal results. The cutter may not be suitable for more demanding applications or thicker glass.

Would RecommendKobalt brand tools are some of the best out there... I bought this tool today and made a video review. I submitted a review without opening the package... and have proven the quality of this brand first time using it out of the package. I highly recommend the Kobalt name in any tool..... if you don't know how to use it please don't give a review

I just think that if anybody out there knew how to use a glass cutter you would see how good this one is
Kobalt glass cutter
I'm giving this product a four-star review without even opening the package yet.. I see very few positive reviews but that being said I use Kobalt all the time and I have a lot of faith in this tool. So for the bad experiences I have read about... you need to know how to use a tool before you rate it. Try using a tiny spit of WD40 on your scribe before you try it.... You like it....no matter the brand. I love Kobalt brand tools. I will come back and let you know my results tomorrow. Thank you.
Nice handle, blunt cutter
Would Not RecommendBought this at Lowe's in Holly Springs and was disappointed. The cutter is relatively broad and squared off so you have to tilt to scribe. Even the experienced should plan to practice on a scrap first.
bad design
Would Not RecommendI couldn't find my old cutter so I drove down to the Holly Springs' Lowes and purchased this cutter. I had 8 cuts to make. The 1st broke uneven. The 2nd cut broke even but with finger cracks. After purchasing an old style cutter I had no more issues. Thankfully I had enough glass to makeup for the broken pieces. Sometimes you can't improve on a good thing!
