Would RecommendProbably half the weight of my corded saw, even with the large battery. It cuts just as well too! I needed a cordless that uses the same batteries as my other Kobalt tools. I've been demolishing an old deck with it that I needed to take out in small pieces. I'm very pleased.

Great cordless tool
Would RecommendI owned A Plus Handyman Services and i do a lot of work in peoples home that requires different tools. I usually for heavy jobs use a corded saw because of power. After using this lightweight saw all i can say is wow!!! Best money i spent. Its so lightweight and easy to use. This will be replacing my old saw. Thank you Kobalt!!! Great saw!
amazing tool
Would RecommendLet me start by saying im a diehard Koblat fan. I have the 24v drill driver and the impact driver. I love both of them. I purchased this so I could remove some Wrought iron. This saw has a lot of power and it didnt take me long to cut the wrought iron out. Now I’m trying to find things that need to be cut so I can use it. Next I plan on buying the Jig saw
Good saw, easy to use
Would RecommendI've had this almost a year now and used it on many occasions. Really easy one handed use. I've used it to clear brush up to 8" thick. The battery charge has been lasting surprisingly well with the 4ah battery. The only real negative is the cost of the battery. They're pretty expensive but it is 24v and they do seem to hold up well to the vibration this tool can put out.
Crape myrtle pruning solution
Would RecommendI have had my landscaping business for over 19 years and have been looking for a solution to pruning large crape myrtles and other small to medium trees, and here it is. I was able to work on extension ladder and have one hand on tree while using this to prune limbs. It holds the charge well and cuts through branches up to 6" in diameter with ease. Highly recommend!

Light Weight Great Outdoor Pruning Machine
Would RecommendI needed a light weight, battery operated reciprocating saw for an expansive back yard. Works great on pruning tree limbs, bush stalks and ability to cut stalks down to the ground. This Kobalt Compact fills all those needs. Uses the same extended life 24 volt battery as my Kobalt blower, so both machines make yard clean up a snap. No more extension cords or gasoline operated equipment. The battery charge seems to last for a long time without losing power. I use the Lennox 9" wood cutting blade...

Perfect Tool For Pruning
Would RecommendThis is truely a one handed tool, which makes it ideal for pruning. It was part of a 6 tool combo kit. Lowes had several different brands on display, with batteries, so I was able to test a variety of models for comfort and vibration level. I wanted to buy a set of power tools, and was leaning toward the yellow brand. However, their one handed reciprocating saw had a significant level of vibration and was somewhat heavier than the Kobalt. In contrast, the Kobalt had nearly zero vibration. ...

Awesome Tool
Would Recommendnearly a year ago I picked up this and about 8 other 24v Kobalt tools. I have used it 5/6 days per week since purchased. It gets the crap beat out of it and nearly a daily basis. It stands up and takes it like a champ. It's as solid today as it was a year ago. awesome tool. awesome price!! PS for the most part I use it to cut 2" - 4" sch 40 and 80 PVC pipe. also cut rebar and other metals and wood fairly often.

Only 2 uses
Would Not RecommendI successfully used this saw the day I purchased it. I used it the next day and the motor froze and began smoking. I exchanged it hoping it was faulty. We’ll see how it goes. I’ve always liked Kobalt tools.
mine quit working only after a month. Only rapid blinks. Battery charged does same thing.
Great tool!
Would RecommendThe Kobalt reciprocating saw is a great addition to any tool set. I can cut wood, metal, tin, and plastic with this light, but powerful tool. The battery works with lots of the other Kobalt tools as well.
