Better than a chainsaw

I got this saw to trim trees and shrubs in my yard and it works great. My cordless chainsaw is too heavy and the chain always needs sharpening or replacing. This cuts just as fast with one hand! Awesome product.

Awesome Product!

I used this to cut an entire deck off to redo it the way we wanted it. Just went through a couple of batteries but it worked like a charm! I was impressed by far.

Heavy vibration with disappointing results

Quite disappointed with its performance in cutting small limbs and stumps. Even with a longer blade, it struggles to get through. Also has a horrible vibration if not able to set pressure exactly right. First tool from this Kobalt 24V collection to disappoint me.

best ripsaw

this is the best ripsaw for the money.. I work with electrical conduit and this little guy rips right threw it with no problem as long as you use the right blades for it.. assuming that you are using the right blades then this ripsaw will surprise you with how fast and accurate the cutting is.. and it cuts really straight and clean and super fast.. the guys I work with love stealing my saw because it is a great saw.. I highly recommend it to anyone.. and I also use the saw for trimming up trees ...

I'm a fan!

Used this recip to cut small tree stumps, and was through in a couple of seconds. I was cutting at an angle; the blade was going into the ground with no problem. A chainsaw would not have cut them lower. Previously, my Milwaukee 12v Hackzall had taken minutes for the same size job.

Fair price and performed as expected

It’s not Rigid or Milwaukee but it has worked well in a pinch. Battery lasted through the jobs I had and I was able to make some cuts where I couldn’t fit my sawzall. Not a bad tool to have on hand.

Small--but--Mighty

Love this Kobalt 24v Max tool. Performs well; 4 amp battery holds up well...easy to use. Used to cut old plastic & metal lawn funiture.

When things need to get done

I’d have given this 5 Stars if it came with an extra battery and blade, but it doesn’t. I’m trying to get every tool in my garage Kobalt blue, since I’m pleased with their products. I own Kobalt 80v lawnmower, weedeater, edger, blower, bush trimmer, air compressor, work bench, and rolling cart, drill, hand saw, socket wrenches and many other hand tools, shovel, pickax, and this recipricating saw. I’ve even considered painting my garage Kobalt blue; only if Kobalt made paint. I just want to go...

Great saw

Has good power, light and easy to use. I am 72 and have had shoulder surgery. I can easily hold this one handed. I wear out before the battery does.

Best features: (1) one hand operation, (2) cuts like crazy! (3) 5 year warranty (4) price. This is the sixth or seventh Kobalt 24V tool I have, and they are all great tools.

First & Positive Experience with Recip Saw

This the first time I’ve used a sawzsll type reciprocstinh saw. I always thought they required strength and skill to use. But I had to cut out some subgloor close to the wall which a skill saw cannot do. Also had to demolish fiberglass tub. Worked great, but had to ho get s finer toothed blade. Wish it had come with a finer toothed blade or an assortment. Saw is light and easy to handle. Battery life is more tha adequate for diy.
