battery life not as advertised

fresh out of the box, first use, overnight charge on battery, lasted just under 20 minutes.

as many other people i had the same issue with the hinge not lining up so the two screws could be installed. even after loosning the other three screw it would not line up to be assembled. had to retap the threaded holrd to get the screws to go in. then when using i bumped it to get the line to advance and it would not. Discovered the line was wrapped in the WRONG direction on the spool..so if you have a tap and die set and a SECURE star bit set and can follow the arrow on the line spool it will...

Love this product. It is light weight but a real workhorse

Easy on the ears

It is not excessively loud. It trimmed well. It took a deliberate push down to advance the string. It is longer than my previous one, hence I was careful in handling. The battery adds the extra weight (goes w/out saying). It'd be good if the battery was located more central on the pole, thus having a more ergonomically balanced unit. It assembled well.

This is a light & easy to control Trimmer.

This trimmer was very difficult to bolt together, I even had a very strong neighbor help & it was difficult for him too. I told him I only needed 25 min of his time but it too little over 1/2 hour just for 2 bolts & 2 screws. I bought this as it was rated tops in Consumer Reports. The trimmer is easy to handle and is doing an excellent job of trimming around my yard. I would recommend this trimmer to anyone who is interested in getting a new trimmer or replacing an old one. Solid budget weed trimmer

This replaced a 20 year old gas/oil mix trimmer. We have a small yard that backs up to wooded areas. Assembly requires a little care and thought, as others have observed. If screws aren’t fitting, don’t force anything; loosen screws up, align, then tighten. The battery has more than enough juice for a small yard, and the trimmer feels light compared to a gas-powered string trimmer. If the trimmer line is a little too long it shuts the motor off. I removed the guard to run my line a little longer and it puts the machine in a fault mode. Trim the line super short and runs fine. Weak motor. Waste of money imo. Spend a little more and buy something decent. Customer support said they cannot help me as this product has no technical support. Went round and round in a circle sending me to the same person and the same questions over and over.....FRUSTRATING. Would not recom...

I like the trimming job it does. I don't like the edging or the bump line release which doesn't work well..

Do not purchase

This is probably the worst design in a trimmer. The straight line trimmer is extremely hard to use with the heavy battery behind your hands. The trimmer line constantly jams within the head requiring multiple corrections involving manual removal of head to advance the line. Loading line is a nightmare as the line on the spool does not line up well with the head. The bump to advance line rarely works requiring routine removal of the head.
