Kobalt 24volt string trimmer

Bought this tool because I had other 24 volt Kobalt tools. It was fairly easy to put together but it eats string like its going out of style, and it's almost impossible to change the string without using a screwdriver to depress the tabs. I am in my 70's now and I don't have the hand strength that I used to. The string comes pre-wound, which is nice but quite often comes tangled where you have to remove the spool to fix it. Bought this item primarily for my height-challenged wife. Immediately returned it when I fount it had an extremely long, non-telescoping barrel. A 7-footers might have a use for it but not us normal sized folks.

Great Product!

I really like this trimmer. I have used it several times so far and it works really well. The battery life is also good. This is a fine product.

Works great

Throw in 2 supplied bolts and a battery and you're good to go. Only downside is it sucked the fully charged 4ah battery dry in about 25-30 min. Other than that, it's great.

good light weight weedeater

I am enjoying this weedeater, it is easy to use and quiet compared to the fas models. I love that tge maintenance is low and the batteries last long enough fot me to get the job done but not get worn out.

More power than I expected.

Looking to get a cordless to replace my still running good but old corded trimmer. Tired of dragging the cord around. I compared the 24 volt to the 40 volt. It really depends on what you're cutting and how large an area. I dont really need anything like a 60 or 80 volt trimmer. I watched the 24 and 40 volt on Youtube and decided on the 24 volt. Very good, just had a problem replacing the trim line, had no problems returning the item. When spring comes, I will be back to purchase the same product.

Works great, this is my first edge trimmer but I have other 24v kobalt tools and so the battery carries over very well. Finished my whole property with one fully charged battery and getting new cordage out isnt terrible.

Too Long To Use Comfortably

It runs great, good battery life, has been reliable for over a year now. My only complaint is the length is actually too long. To get the string down at a little angle I have to almost cock the handle under my armpit which makes it very hard to activate the finger throttle. I am 6 foot tall & searching for solutions right now on shortening the shaft by 6" or more.

It's a constant fight

I've owned it for 2 seasons now and it'st always a fight. I have the full ecosystem of Kobalt 24v tools now and I love them all, except this trimmer. I live on a corner lot with a sidewalk plus 600 feet of cement curbing, so I've got a lot of trimming to do. The 4Ah battery lasts the entire yard, but the joy stops there.
