Just stopped working

Got this for a Father's Day gift one year when it was on sale with the combo of the blower. The string trimmer just stopped working. It ran out of string, so I put it down in the garage. Left it for a couple weeks. Then I decided to put string it in and when I tried to start it....nothing. I hear a click near the trimmer head each time I pull the trigger with the battery, but zero rotation. It's only a couple years old. Great weed eater, plenty of power at a great price

It has more power than I expected. Battery lasts a long time. Cuts as good as any gas powered I’ve ever owned.

Poor Quality

The release tab on one side of the spool base broke and then the head spun and bent the entire head assembly jamming the bump knob inside the spool and damaged so it’s inoperable. Need an entirely new head. Lowes doesn’t stock any replacement parts other than the spool itself. I’ve had the weed eater for about 18 months and Lowes sad to call a customer service number, but the manual says to take it back to place of purchase to be replaced or repaired at no charge under warranty. Lightweight, easy on my back

As an old woman with back issues this trimmer is very lightweight and easy to use. Just pop on a fully charged Kobalt battery and go. I have been using it for several months and have no complaints.

Pretty Good

I bought this last fall. It is light weight and easy for both me and my wife to use. It has the speed and power to work. I live out in the country and use it frequently. It's nice not have to pull start it sometimes and just grab and go. I use 1 extended battery on the front yard(about 1acre), probably 15-20 minutes of run time. I keep a large gas one for big jobs but this thing will surprise you.

It is efficient but not a bushwhacker.

I even enjoyed "wackin'". The spool is small but easy to rap and go. The weight of the device is great!!! I am very pleased I can wack without gas or a cord. I feel this product is a small step towards saving and protecting our Home.

Better size and weight

This trimmer is a better size and weight for my wife, but still plenty powerful enough and the battery is the same as my Kobalt drill.

Lazy Design

First, let me say i am a big fan of the Kobalt XTR 24V max line of tools. I own their drills, drivers, multi-tool, sander, saw, hedge trimmer, and now the string trimmer. I love all of them EXCEPT this trimmer/edger. The designers were just plain lazy! First, no auto string feed. My 10 year old B&D had that feature! Second, there is no design feature that allows you to switch from trimming to edging. You just rotate the entire tool 90 degrees, which puts the handle and trigger in an awkward pos...

Worth the extra battery

Slightly under powered, but does everything needed for a suburban household.

Bump Feed

Bump feed does not work Period.Line was tangled,replaced line still doesn't work. Appears that the bump feed is either bound up or the spring is too strong. Takes two thumbs with an unusual amount of force to push the bump knob.
