What Customers Are Saying
The tool is efficient at cutting various types of plastic pipes up to 2-3/8" in diameter, including PVC, CPVC, PP, PEX, PE, and POLY. It can make smooth, clean, and straight cuts with minimal effort. However, it may struggle with thicker or older pipes, and users have reported occasional difficulty achieving perfectly straight cuts, especially on larger diameter pipes. The blade's durability and availability of replacement blades have also been a concern for some users.

Would Not Recommendworks great on small pipes. Will not cut 2 inch pvc. It gets about halfway with you applying lot of pressure then it breaks pipe
Cracks new 2 inch PVC
Would Not RecommendI bought this to cut 1-1/2 and 2 inch PVC during a bathroom remodel job. Easier to get into tight spaces than a sawzall. Worked well om 1-1/2 inch PVC. But it cracked the 2 inch old PVC requiring use of sawzall. I tried on new PVC from Lowes and it cracked that too.
Meh
Would Not RecommendI bought this specifically for use with 2 in schedule 40. Nowhere near a straight cut on the 2 in pipe. Worked great on 1.5 in and 1 in but would not recommend for 2 in.

PVC cutters
these 2 in PVC cutters work better than the Masterforge cutters and these Kobalt 2 inches work great for a single use
Its looks nice
Would RecommendIts was easy to install.

decent
Would Not RecommendIt didnt cut the pipes straight, it has a good cutting blade but once you try to make a circle around the pipe, it doesnt cut properly.

Works Just Okay
Would Not RecommendPurchased to cut 2" PVC pipe. The cut was clean but could not get a straight cut. Did many practice cuts and every time the cut was not completely straight. Was able to file and sand to get straight but took extra time. Perhaps works better on smaller pipes but would not recommend for 2" pipes.
Cracks Pipe
Would Not RecommendMade two cutson 2" sched 40. Now all it does is crack pipes. Back to the store it goes.
Works a treat
Would RecommendI was hesitant about buying this tool after reading the reviews that stated it cuts crooked or shatters PVC. Well I had to cut some swimming pool piping that was buried underground. To minimize the amount of dirt removed I thought this tool was worth a try. It cut very cleanly and straight. Several cuts later, the pool pump was plumbed in. If you keep the pipe flat on the jaws and apply steady pressure with the blade handle through each ratchet step, you will get straight cuts. It is a nice piece...

BEWARE! Dangerous Product
Would Not RecommendI rarely leave reviews but this product caused me to slice three fingers open and require stitches. I have used three other pvc cutters and never hade an issue. I bought these after my old Kobalt 1.25/1.5 blade broke and I could not find a replacement. This is the first pair of PVC cutters I have used with the "V" shaped blade. I attempted 5 cuts with these. Three of the first 4 cuts broke the pipe. I looked at reviews here which are generally good and broken pipes were mentioned, but sa...
Best cutter.
Would RecommendReally cuts 2" and 3/4" plastic pipes with ease - just ratchet through the big stuff. PEX is a breeze! Pick up another blade so you have it. Never know if it will be discontinued. I have tools 20 years or older (55 is oldest)
