Doesn't connect with any phone I have

Just bought it, even though the reviews were mostly all bad. Taking it back. Bought today, goes back tomorrow. Don't waste your time.

Does as described after emailing support

At first, I was having the same issue as the other bad reviews, but after emailing support. They told me to make sure I have the latest OS update and security update. After updating security updates which is different that is OS updates, the app worked.

Not expensive and easy to use

Easy to use. It works better for straight pipes. May not go through bends. High quality picture.

Don’t say cheez

It did not work for me.. kept coming unplugged couldn’t see anything when it stayed plugged

Good for the price DIY

After reading so many low reviews, I almost didn't buy. Most of the lower reviews referenced issues with the app not working. That is not the experience I had. I downloaded the app from Google Play store and allowed it access to the camera and was in business. I also enjoyed not having to deal with another charger since this unit runs of the phone battery. i bought this for my use arpund my house and it worked great. Blurry Picture

Just opened out of the box - downloaded et16 app...and picture is so blurry, I cannot see a thing!!

Not for Android

Don't try to use this on your android. Could not get it to work with any app after trying for an hour. Thankfully it would work on my laptop, so it wasn't a complete waste.

Frustrated

I really wish I could write a decent review. Been a commercial electrician for over 25 years. Loyal to the brand, on just about everything. Bought this unit brand new, from big box store . Thought it was a bargain and the scope length is better than most, but I cannot get it to work with any device I've tried. Don't think it's the app, but it might be. Anyway somebody let me know if it works or not

Software Updated No Longer Works

Had to update the app and no longer works. Had to install a 3rd party USB app to get it to work again! Klien fix your software.

This App is Not Available for Your Device

Not able to install on my Galaxy Tab device. No indication of why, how to fix, etc.

Had to try multiple apps

Klein tools borescope app doesn't work for this product. You have to go download the "USB camera viewer" app by "homesoft LLC" this app actually works with the camera. Hope this help everyone who buys this and realizes it doesn't work.

Worst scope I have ever purchased

I bought this camera the other day and still have not seen one image from it. I have downloaded the recommended app and even tried others to connect it and I got a black screen telling me that "no device was found". Waste of time and money on the tool.

Blank picture. Downloaded 3.0 beta no good

Have had this for a while. When I originally bought it I downloaded the app software version 2.3 on a LG K30. It works fine with the 2.3 version. Now I went to download it on a new phones. ZTE Blade max, galaxy A12, and NUU B20. All downloads downloaded good. I took notice the software version was now 3.0. 3 phones all different manufacturers get blank pic on all three. It detects the device but blank screen. Klein tools needs to make this good or the device is useless.

App is worthless

My Phone is up to date and after several re installs the app fails to work. Tested the borescope with another app in google play store and the camera worked poorly. Would be nice if Klein Tools actually had an app that works with their prodcut.

Software doesn't recognize the tool!

I've tried this on three phones, and they all turn on the led lights, then say they don't see the tool.

App crashes/restarts constantly

The camera is good but you can't use it as the app keeps rebooting all of the time.

Product does not function

I bought this product with the intention of using it on the job.i have been a service electrician for 10 years and thought this would be a good upgrade..... WELL IT WAS NOT! I have downloaded the app on 4 different Android devices and the camera still does not work at all. On the 5th device the light worked but no image. This product was a huge let down. All I use is klien for my tools and after this that could change...

Keeps saying et16 not found

I bought this thing a month ago in the hopes of using it on the job, still have never got it to work with the app. The app always says, et16 not found, when I clearly have it plugged into my Samsung s21. Very disappointing, would make my job so much easier when searching for wires in a wall.

Buy with caution

Looked like a helpful tool to have but doesn't work. I just got my phone a few months ago, has current updates and the camera won't display in the app. Disappointed that I have to return it.

Real issues

Just brought ET16 home, downloaded the App from the Google App Store (1/14/23) and got the same message reported by (too) many others "No ET16 Found". Others have complained about the very short cord between the USB connector and the LED Brightness Control unit: I agree, this requires a third hand to hold the phone and controller while the snake is be maneuvered.
