The best food chopper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I have been using this to make our own bread crumbs! We love it! Set up is easy and it’s also lightweight and easy to clean. Looking forward to using it to make sauces and dressings as well.

Great feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh man this is a great attachment for the kitchen aide!! We love this grinder!! We had venison to grind up to ground and this processed the meat really fast!! I would love to have several kitchen aides with this grinder attachment!!

Fabulous Grinder!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The food grinder attachment for the KitchenAid stand mixer is a perfect fit! It works very well with grinding meat, making it a quick task. It is also fairly easy to disassemble and clean. I like how it comes with two different grinding plates as well. This makes a great addition to my kitchenAid and I am excited!

Plastic breaks easily.

While it works, it's great, but while I only ground meat with this food grinder (household use for a four-person family), after a couple of years the housing cracked. I ended up with meat extruding from unwelcome places and the grinder was difficult to get clean. It is only plastic, after all. If you really want a food grinder, save your money and purchase a metal one to begin with.

If only it would grind meat

We bought this two years ago for our homestead to grind extra meat into sausage. The few times we've used it, we could not get it to grind meat to anything resembling a nice consistency. We tried beef, duck, and pork in it, but it failed to produce a good grind. Either pink sludge comes out or giant chunks, and the auger gets gummed up immediately. We tried different coarse plates and even put the grinder and all the meat in the freezer for a little while to try to get it cold, but it doesn't he...

I can't afford another one and I'm bummed.

Loved the grinder until it went through dishwasher by mistake. Now its' toxic and I need to put it in the trash. This was too expensive an item not to be made of material that could be washed/sterilized.

Food Grinder is excellent!

I bought my plastic tray food grinder about 7 years ago. Absolutely love it! We love grinding turkey leftover from Thanksgiving. Just grind it and put into freezer for use later. Mostly use to make turkey or chicken salad for sandwiches. Our favorite sandwich!

attachment shaft housing does not fit into the hub

I love my mixer but am very disappointed in the food grinder, the attachment shaft does not fit all the way into the attachment hub. I have tried rotating it as suggested but can't get in all the way into the notch of the hub rim.

Best Food Grinder

I have had this food grinder for over 3 years now and I love grinding my own beef and pork or combining the two for meatloaf. I have 4 Kitchenaid attachments and this is one of my favorites!!

Great attachment!

I bought this over 2 years ago. Still use it often. At least once a week.

I have concerns

I haven't been able to use & it may not be a grinder issue, but a stand mixer issue. I had issues w/ the food processer not working so I 'attached' this & it spins sporadically. I don't know if it would respond differently w/ meat in it, but I have my concerns at this point about attachments.

It's a defect. Kithenaid should recall those screw

Same as other lucky customers, the screw broke off after 7~8 using.

Grinder doesn’t work

Used twice and both times is barely worked. Spent more time cleaning it out then I did using it. Definitely would not recommend. I ended up just throwing the whole attachment away

Great Christmas Gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a kitchenaid mini stand mixer and the food grinder attachment as Christmas gifts. I finally got around to using the food grinder and it works very well. It's made making home cooked meals from scratch SO much easier.

Shaft tip broken

After used less than 5 times, it was broken and out of warranty.

Broke after 3 uses. Poor quality

Only used 3 times. The tip for the metal shaft that attaches to the mixer broke. Looked carefully and tested the grinder and it is now useless. I am so disappointed of the poor quality. Came here and so many customers with the same issue. Called customer service and no help, only gave me the part number. Searched online and cannot find the part. I really enjoyed the product and thought it would last a long time. Just wished KitchenAid would be more helpful with the spare part because it is obvi...

Fantastic add to Mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used my grinder attachment only once but it worked better than the counter top grinder that I normally use. I bought this attachment to use at another home as not practical to bring counter top model to & fro. highly recommended!!
