Great while it lasted

Bought in April 2021. Very quiet, easy to use and install. Would be five stars but it started leaking Dec 2024. For $1000 it should last longer than 3 years

Didn’t last

2 years old and the control board went bad, repair will cost over half the cost of a replacement.

I think I made a good choice with Kitchen Aid

Read reviews and watched video reviews of dishwashers. All dishwashers (except one) bounced up or down as reliable depending on who rated. Kitchen Aid usually rated fairly reliable. I was to replace a very old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that was pretty good...just old). Decided to have another go with their dishwasher due to a pretty good sale. So far very happy. Will not last longer than 3 years without issue

After three years of use this dishwasher decided to flood our entire downstairs… We had to replace the seal, which apparently meant that we had to replace the entire motor. Two years later, the water pump stopped working. We replaced the water pump which lasted two months. All of this on our own dime cause surprise surprise it was out of warranty. For $1000 I would expect much better quality. Kitchenaid should be embarrassed. Customers do not want to pay for a planned obsolescence model, we want...

Great features and quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Kitchen Aid dishwasher lasted 15 years, but finally broke down. Ao I decided to purchase another Kitchen Aid, and I am enjoying it immensely. It is very quiet and does a great job. I recommend this dishwasher, you’ll be very happy with it.

Needs an area for small items.

Odd rack configuration

I like that it not filled with silly, unnecessary "added value" components which I have found are more parts destined to promptly fail. Unfortunately, the rack configuration in the machine oddly does not take advantage of the full volume of the machine as it leaves unused space that was designed to accommodate the added value components. But it works well. Just does not hold as many dishes and utensils as our old KitchenAid machine did.

Quality

Kitchenaid appliances are incredibly attractive, but that’s where the appeal ends. Quality is poor if you are a kitchen user/cook who truly uses these items on a daily basis. Knobs on the gas cook tops will loosen, fail, and the script for themreadings will wash away within 24 months with usual use. Dishwashers will generally fail within 36 months of use, just beyond warranties. All their items look incredible and professional, however their quality is questionable at best.
