Great quality ice in abundance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought mine about a month ago and have been very happy with it. The ice quality is vastly superior to our previous 2 machines which were made by. U-Line and I hope and expect that my new one will be more reliable too. The Kitchen Aid machine had great reviews and this is what drove my decision.

When the compressor fails, you must buy a new!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first ice machine we bought new in 2019 had the compressor fail and we had to replace it with a new one, which is the one I am reviewing here. So not happy that fixing the compressor cost the same as buying a new one.

Runs very quiet and efficiently

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a kitchen aid ice maker for 20 years and decided to get a new one after trying to fix. This new one very quiet and ice is noticeable clearer than the 2005 model

Don't recommend this product at all!

We installed this product and also a high-end KitchenAid fridge in our house in 2017. BOTH had internal hose failures / leaks that resulted in significant wood floor damage to our kitchen and pantry. KitchenAid customer service is useless, just sending you reminders to buy their (quite expensive) filters and telling you the product is out of warranty. Do not buy.

Avoid

If you want to become familiar with the repair team then this is the ice maker for you. We bought this April of 2022. Since September of 23 this machine has been mostly unplugged except for six technician visits. At one point it was in the shop from December until February of 2024. It worked for about two weeks and quit entirely. Now KA is giving the run around. I bought this based on the reliability of the mixer we’ve had for decades. Ice galore!

Great ice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this icemaker for a month now. Love everything about it except it is a bit noisy. Can’t give it 5 stars because of that reason.

Great ice but Incredibly NOISY!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker does a great job with the ice but is so noisy. At night, I would swear that someone is breaking into my house as some of the sounds are incredibly loud and last for several seconds. On comparing notes with other individuals, I have found that they experience the same loud noises. I wish KitchenAid would address this sound issue!

Great Ice Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this ice maker. It makes ice quickly and keeps a great quantity available at all times. It is quiet as well. This is my 3rd one though. They work great for about 5-6 years then they just give out. Always take the warranty on these. IT is very expensive to get them fixed if they break down.

KitchenAid is a Great Brand

Absolutely LOVE this ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently remodeled out kitchen and wanted an ice maker for coolers in the summer and extra ice anytime. Well we've used this every single time we fill up our water bottles because it's super plentiful and the ice cubes are the perfect size.
