Good product - Poor documentation

I purchased this unit to replace my original 8 year old KitchenAid ice maker and they have made several improvements like bright LED lighting with a magnetic door switch and this model has the factory installed drain pump. Perfect Clear Ice

Love the Clear Small Ice, Love the Speed of Icemak

Ice access too narrow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The icemaker seems to operate fine but there is only a narrow slit to access the ice. Above the slit is a plastic panel that falls off if you hit it with the scoop, so I had to tape it down to keep it in place.

Grate machine

Kitchen Aid Ice Maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ice maker stopped making ice about 4 weeks after I purchased it. I called and scheduled service with Kitchen Aid 7 days ago and the service advisor won't be here for another 3 days. This isn't suppose to happen with a new appliance.

Noisy piece of crap that turns itself off

my new ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our third ice maker from kitchen aid. It provides clear cubes that make the taste of your drinks clean and fresh. We use it for icing wine buckets and chilling items to keep them fresh before serving..what a pleasure to own.

Leaking water on floor

Ice looks good, but grave concerns about reliability and support responsiveness. Machine appeared to not be 'turned on' when puddles appeared, but can't possibly be designed to leak when power goes out - can it?

My eyes make her didn't work

Have requested a replacement. We've had the same icemaker on our previous home and it worked fabulously constant ice

Pump went out on less than a year after being inst

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this during Covid and installed it in June of 2022. By May 2023 the pump went out and flooded our kitchen. Now kitchen aid says it’s no longer warrantied. I’ve seen reviews that this has been an issue. Very upset that they aren’t standing behind their product.

Does not work right out of the box.

Started having issues after the first month
