My 3rd KitchenAid Ice Maker in 10 years!

Nice So Far

Love it. Except . . .

It makes beautiful clear ice quickly. It's quiet, solid and seems to be a quality machine in every respect. My problem is that the cubes are so tiny. I don't buy an ice maker often and didn't think to ask about cube size. I had expected full sized cubes and these are little bigger than ice chips.

Disappointed in an overpriced disposable machine

We purchased this built in ice maker when we built our new home back in 2016. We also purchased other Kitchen Aid appliances so they would all match. It's 7 years old and our repair man just told us the cost to repair is about what the cost of a new one is. The sealed unit is bad and out of it's warranty. An ice machine with this kind of price tag should not just last 7 years. We had to replace the thermostat on it about a year and a half ago which was not a huge deal but again something el...

Ice Maker failed

Machine works great but was leaking from the start

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves the ice, but there was a slow leak due to a factory installed hose not being tight enough which resulted in a leak that warped my wood floors by the time i realized what was going on. Also seems to drain a fair amount, which is essentially wasted water.

matches my other appliances

Awesome ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a house with an old Kitchenaid ice maker. We liked it so much wanted to replace it with the same one only new. The ice taste good and so far we have not had any issues.

I'd like it more if it were working!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this machine to replace my old ice maker. It was delivered and installed March 29th. Instructions say it may take up to 24 hours before ice starts dropping. It is now April 4th and no ice yet. Kitchen Aid is coming tomorrow.

Finally a quiet built in ice maker with pump

Started fine, then failed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m very disappointed with the performance of the machine. Love the ice that initially came from it. Then it started to make noises, the ice tasted bad, then the machine quit. It’s been a few weeks since that happened. One service call later and we hope the problem will be fixed with a new part. We don’t know the outcome yet.

LOVE this ice maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been having a horrible time with an ice maker that was only six months old - finally got it returned and refunded so we could purchase this Kitchen Aid ice maker. It works fabulous, LOVE the type of ice, bin is always full and to top it off it’s very quiet. Couldn’t recommend it more!
