In order for it to engage the door must be held closed on the left side - it works but this is not how I imagined it would operate. Bought a replacement microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave a month ago and it has some great features. It also works as a convection oven and is pretty easy to use overall. The only issue I can see is like it’s predecessor the it is really sensitive to the door being completely closed. I hope this does not develop into a bigger issue like the last one I had.

Of course the microwave is terrific and the convection cooking is as if I had a 2nd oven. Breads, chicken, everything cooks in 1/3 the time. Lovin' it! Thank you KitchenAid!

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave to replace KBHS109BSS purchased in 2014 when we had our kitchen remodeled. We had issues with that one for several years and instead of replacing its ‘brain’. We decided to buy the newer model. It is very nice and I like some of the newer features. Two things I don’t like are having to practically slam the door for it to work and the change in the handle on the door.

So much more then a Microwave

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love this Kichenaid product. Heats evenly, easy to use. Don't install too high as the drop down door makes it difficult to access. Perfect for a secondary oven.

This is the best microwave I've ever owned!

We've had this microwave for almost two years now and I have never had an appliance outperform expectations like this one! The reheat settings are amazing. We love using the included basket to steam vegetables. You can't go wrong with this microwave!!

It broke in the first three weeks.

We picked mainly on style and function and did not really check reviews for reliablility. We probably should have done that since it stopped working about three weeks after we had in installed. We have been without the use of it for two weeks waiting for a repairman and now the part to fix it.
