Would RecommendI liked the design feature of using thumb screws to secure and tighten the drain unit. The traditional design uses a large nut that screws onto threads on the outside of the drain bowl. Those threads were easily stripped on my old drain and the oversized nut was difficult to align and tighten properly. Installation was much easier with this design and re-tightening the unit in the future will be a breeze. On the other hand, the included basket obstructs the flow, even in the upmost position,...

Would RecommendI'm not a plumber but I have probably replaced ten to 15 drain strainers and this is by far the easiest one I have ever installed. The screws to tighten it up with and the soft rubber gasket made installation a breeze. I highly recommend this drain over the less expensive conventional drains that require plumbers putty and a drain wrench. Great product.
