Loved the look, but…

Purchased matte black duostrainer in May 2022 and had installed by licensed plumber the following week. Three and a half months later, the finish has peeled and flaked off. I really like how the strainer works but am highly disappointed and frustrated by the finish not holding up at all.

This sink drain does not hold up to hot water! Black coating over stainless steel is peeling away after about 7 months of installation.

So far, so good. And looks good when installed

The Sink drain and strainer basket, less tailpiece - color black - looks just fine in my black cast iron sink. It sticks up a tad, meaning it is not flush with the sink drain hole, so water does not drain all the way after the water is off. I think this is not the drain assembly's fault though. The plumber said most cast iron sink drain holes now-a-days don't seem to be built "normal" to allow for "flush" drain installations. I cannot speak to the durability of the Kohler drain and strainer bask...

worthless

Installed two months and coating coming off. I payed extra for a higher quality product and got garbage. You could easily buy a cheap one and spray paint it and would last longer than this product. complete garbage

Not only does it not keep water from draining, the Bronze finish chipped off immediately.

Great Quality

So happy with my replacement sink strainer basket! The previous owner of my home had detroyed the black basket and it looked horrible in my white farmhouse sink. This replacement has made my sink look brand new!

What you expect from Kohler

Very satisfied. love it, hopefully the finish will last a long time.

not worth the money

Spent the extra money, installed it and within about a month the black was completely chipped off. I was under the impression it was baked black and not just painted. If I was wanting a stainless steel, that is what i would have bought. Unfortunately, that will be what it is in the end. Save your money you’re looking a black basket.

Waste of Money!

We JUST finished our kitchen remodel in November of 2021… less than 3 full months later and this strainer is chipping! Not sure why Kohler would paint over stainless and expect it to hold up in a sink of all places but I’m super bummed about this. :(

Excellent Quality, heavy material machined for a perfect fit and strainer actually holds water in the sink when used as a stopper.

I had this installed about a week ago and already the black color is just peeling off! Unreal.

The strainer is beautiful; however, it cannot be installed yet because I am waiting for the matching disposal flange. I am at a stand still. Not good.

I upgraded my kitchen counter tops and sink used this drain the strainer don’t work the stopper lets the water seep through so you can’t let nothing soak in it

DOES NOT HOLD WATER

I bought two of these less than a week ago to use in our Kohler sink. I installed them last night and they DO NOT HOLD WATER! I read the reviews AFTER I bought the drains and see where removing the o-ring will solve the problem. SADLY that doesn’t help! I wish I hadn’t of thrown the packages away so I could return these overpriced, underperforming sink drains....VERY DISSATISFIED!!!

Installed two of these drain baskets. I was a little concerned about the comments about them not holding water, but I did not have that issue on either one I purchased. They have been installed for about two months now and everything is fantastic.
