Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
The Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser provides quick access to hot water for various kitchen tasks like making tea, coffee, and oatmeal. Customers appreciate the convenience, but report issues with durability and reliability, such as the button sticking, leaks, and a relatively short lifespan of 2-5 years. Some users recommend considering alternative models, especially those with a lever-style faucet, as the lever design seems more reliable.

Would RecommendThis is an excellent product that is useful in so many ways - makes tea instantly, cleans debris and grease from knives and plates, etc. We just love this product. The downfall is the poor quality gasket. Company does not sell the gasket. This is my third tank I have had to purchase because the unit leaks after about 5 years in use. You can't buy a gasket so Ii have to buy a whole unit and not use the faucet it comes with. Buying the tank separately costs more than a complete unit

Perfect temp and looks great
Would RecommendThe faucet is sturdy and looks great. We also installed the inline water filter, which presented a few challenges for our plumber, but overall installation was ok. We use the second to highest setting for hot tea. Works great! Occasionally the faucet will bubble out a bit of overflow. Highly recommend the product.

Great if it's working
Would RecommendHad this for 4 years now. Works well when it works. PRO: Instant hot to 180F. CON: The button gets stuck and it will sometime just gets left on for a while till I have to pry up the button with a knife. Work flow is terrible because of that.

2nd unit failure in 2 months
Heats well as long as it lasts which is not very long. Not too difficult to install. First unit worked for about 4 months then caused the gfci to trip. Warranty replacement worked well for 2 months then repeated the failure of the original unit. Not sure this is the right unit to get.

Replacement
Would RecommendThis was a replacement for a heater I installed two years ago. The last one had a button on the top to get water. Eventually it started to stick and water wouldn’t shut off unless I grabbed the button with pliers. This one has a knob on top and is working much better. Better design.

Insinkerator Invite Contour
Would RecommendThe pictured dispenser above, Invite HOT 100, is not the model we bought and Installed. Ours is the shorter Invite Contour needed to fit under a counter lip. It’s a great, handy device for rinsing, cleaning and making quick hot beverages.

DIY project
Would RecommendThe removal and installation was pretty simple. Watch a YouTube video before beginning and the job isn't bad. Make sure to have an item to support the weight of the unit during installation.

Poor Quality, unreliable
Would Not Recommend2 units in 2 years, One faucet broke, both leaked tried to repair leak to no avail and finally gave up, will avoid buying Emerson Electric (insinkerator) products in the future.
Works well
Would RecommendMy only concern is the tube connection seems like they could pop off at any time. Is there a clamp I could use? I would sleep better at night.

Hi AlleyCat, thank you for your feedback. If the tubes are inserted properly in accordance with the installation manual, you should not expect any iss...
GET IT, you won't regret it.
Would RecommendAlthough I couldn't install it myself, it wasn't that expensive to have done. REMEMBER YOU NEED AN EXTRA HOLE IN YOUR COUNTERTOP, SO EXPECT TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT IF YOU'RE HAVING IT DONE. I used to make one or two cups of tea every night, and it was slow compared to the hot-100. Now I make tea in the same amount of time it took to fill the kettle. I have heard speculation about the cost of using this and have heard some ridiculous numbers. After 29 days my bill went up between 9 and 10 do...

Don't know why these are not more popular
Would RecommendI had an insinkerator instant hot water tank in my old house, 27 years ago, before i ever had a microwave. How glad i am, to be able to get one for my new house. I do find the button requires immense strength to push... is this as a safety against accidents and children? Also, my partner had to take it completely apart after only 6 months to adjust the tension. However, its working smoothly again.

This product is a welcome addition to my kitchen
Would RecommendI purchased the Hot 100 Chrome to replace an older Insinkerator instant hot water appliance, I like the compact design and the push button off to the side to dispense the hot water. Easy and convenient.

Manufactured with Non-standard Brass Tubing
Would Not RecommendManufactured in China, this product was delivered with non-standard tubing that would not connect to standard 1/4" brass tubing. Spent many hours sourcing components and resizing to make it fit - in and out under the sink multiple times to no avail. Finally complained - they sent a replacement without protest when I told them that the copper tubing was metric and I needed the correct product with 1/4" connectors. Functioning well for use intended - after all that installation aggravation!

Installed a Insinkertor Hot water heater 23 years ago when I build this house. Wouldn't be without one!
Would RecommendWife wanted to update to Stainless faucets this year. Was cheaper to replace the entire system. This is my third unit.

Great product and wonderful product.
Would RecommendExcellent product and would buy again.Nice and hot water.

Performs as expected, delivering instant hot water.
Would RecommendThe product is attractive and functional. Instant hot water at a push of a button. The only negative I would mention is that the button is not insulated from the faucet body, which gets quite hot if dispensing hot water for more than a few seconds.

Great hot Water Heater
Would RecommendIt's great to be able to have hot water on demand. The installation is fairly simple but the combination of the filter is a bit daunting. Once you get it installed you will wonder why you never installed one before.

Great hot water dispenser.
Would RecommendYour product has out done our expectations. The installation was easy according to our installer. The finish matches our other faucet as if all came together. Thanks for making such great products.

Great Hot Water Tap, Great Support, and Great Company
Would RecommendOur Hot 100 is in the brushed nickel finish which happens to match our Moen stainless steel kitchen faucet perfectly. I bought the Hot100 to replace the Insinkerator hot water tap that came with our house, which finally gave up the ghost after 10 to 15 years. The new Hot 100 was very easy to install. However during installation I dropped the long brass nut that secures the tap to the counter and of course it fell through the only hole in the bottom of the cabinetry where the water and electrical...
