We have always bought Badger 5s. Fairly easy to install. But it did not come with a cord, hence the 4-star rating.

Only lasted seven years

I got my first InSinkErator seven years ago and had to have it replaced. It rusted out at the bottom and leaked. I’m giving them a second chance but frankly disappointed that wear and tear only lasts seven years.

I bought this a few months ago for a condo in Florida. Plumber recommended this brand over others that he had bad experiences with.

I bought this to replace my 25 year old Sears unit. It was on its last leg. The Badger 5 is much smaller (which is better as it opens up a lot of space under the sink) and it is quieter. We have had no issues with it. Eats up everything. Super easy install.

Have had mixed performance from these. The last one lasted only two years and leaked profusely from the bottom despite the fact that I used it only rarely. Only bought this one due to the ease of installation.

Works well once it's put in

We purchased Insinkerator upon the recommendation of our plumber. And the one we were tossing was the same brand. Leaking. Don't know it's age. Our plumber is old school and worked to put it in like he had dozens of times before. Except it wouldn't go in. He does not read instructions. The method of insert had changed. He finally figured it out, the top was turned around. So if you are looking to put this one in the same as previous ones, read the Instructions first.

It’s a replacement time flys by and the 7 year old rusted through. If it was stainless it would last 20 years. Hint is buy that when you make it guys! You

This unit was installed by a plumber. It’s only been in for a short time, but it is working fine and is much quieter than the one it replaced.
