replaced previous disposal

My old disposal only three years old decided to quit on me...water everywhere under sink...My plumber replaced it with this particular model..the price was very high but then what isn't today,,. so far its working well...lets hope it lasts longer than the previous one

Worthy Product

I have been using these badgers for many years. This time I upgraded to a 3/4 HP and what a difference. I recommend using the badger to all.

Replacement unit fit perfectly onto previous clamp. Everything went as indicated with only problem being working by feel on backside clamp and screw.

Replacement unit fit perfectly onto previous clamp/holder. Installation went as shown on you tube demonstrations. Only problem was in tightening clamp for the dishwasher drain as it was on back side and had to be connected by feel.

The disposal is quiet and works great

The disposal works as advertised. It is a product that is very well built and of high quality. The only reason I gave the installation a four instead of a five is because I didn’t have help with installation and it was a little difficult holding the product up long enough to get into the mounting bracket. I finally placed a small stool under it and it made it much easier to install.

Replacing a similar Badger installed 15 years ago.

I don’t know how plumbers do it! Getting the old badger out was fairly simple. Getting the new one in was a bear but I did it! You tube video’s idea of supporting the new unit with a box to make it easier to position worked well. Tough to manipulate in a tight cabinet but was able to finally get it mounted. Works great!

Great Value and upgrade over builders standard disposal.

Very pleased with this unit. When ours stopped working I decided to go with the industry standard for disposals but bumped up to a higher HP rating ant glad I did. Unit installed easily, has plenty of power, never seems to bob down and is noticeably quitter than out old disposal that came on a spec house.

Wow Loud

We chose a 3/4 hp InSinkErator Badger because we have a septic tank and wanted to be sure everything was well ground before entering it. I've had this brand before and loved it, but this one is EXTREMELY loud and the whole sink and anything in it at the time vibrates so badly I'm concerned something will break. If it weren't for the expense of having it removed and replaced, I would send it back.

Great disposal

I bought the 3/4 hp model and have had great results. I installed it myself. It installed it too loosely at first but it was readily straightened out. I am not that handy but when the directions are followed properly it goes in very smoothly. The lift and latch system makes it easy Tom get into place, even at 75 yrs old.

POWERFUL!

This new garbage disposal is the more powerful one of the Badger brand. And it really is more powerful! Highly recommend!

I have replace old disposers with the Badger using both 1/2 and 3/4 depending on who is renting the homes, larger families use the unit more. I’ve forunf them to be VERY DEPENDABLE and without problem during the 23 years plus. It’s nice to know you can still depend on a quality product. I would highly recommend these peobucts

Very quiet

This is very quiet. I'm glad I didn't waste my money on the insulated quiet version.

This is my 3rd one in 20+ years

Easy to install. Does the job it has to do.Never stuck with the odors from composting.

I purchased this product because it looked to be a good quality product for a reasonable price. It installed easily and works very good.

Works Well Enough

This is our fourth Badger in 17 years. They seem to last four or five years. During that time they work reliably and relatively quietly. The house had a Badger installed when we purchased the home and replacing with a Badger made the installation easiest. No modifications were necessary for any of the plumbing or wiring. The price is reasonable.

Difficult for one person to line up for mounting under sink but doable.

Works as expected

This is the second one we've purchased in the past 4 years. It works fine disposing of food. The rubber guard, though, seems to have a larger opening and/or is made of softer material. In the first week of using it, my favorite measuring spoons fell in and were "eaten" by the disposal. The rubber guard doesn't come out for replacemnt or cleaning.

Quality that lasts.

I recently had to replace my disposal with the Badger 5XP. My old one, of the same brand, lasted 23 years of everyday use! My new unit is quieter, still reasonably priced and does the job efficiently. InSinkErator is the way to go!
