Great Disposal, Easy Installation

The Garbage disposal works great so far. Had it for at least 2 months now. Runs smooth and quiet. Has some great power. It was easy for me to install. It probably took me an hour to an hour and 1 half to remove the old disposal and install this new disposal. It was my first time changing a garbage disposal. I thought it was fairly simple. Though, I am mechanical inclined and I am familiar with using am Allen wrenches and screwdrivers. Great Disposal, I an happy with it.

The Badger 5XP is a great waste disposer.

I purchased the 5XP mainly due ti the fact the the unit it replaced was a 18 year old unit that gave its all. This guy is much quieter grinds up stuff with ease. I had my plumber install it in minutes. Very little to do actually. Recommend it.

Still InSinkerator for me!!

This unit replaced my old InSinkErator unit that I have had for 20 years. I don't see me buying any other brand. As a repairman by trade I stick to the old adage; "If it's not broke, don't fix it." So, I replaced a "great' unit with another "great" unit.

This didn't even last a year before it crapped out. Not worth the money.

I like the rubber strainer design, easy to flush waste down.

I upgraded to a 3/4 HP, all the hook ups were the same, it was easy to install, I'm going to buy another for my mom.

It is quieter than previous insinkerator product. Good product at a reasonable price. Had a pro install it.

Well built

Seems to be very well built. But installation was not as easy as the instructions indicated. Had to have my plumber brother-in-law finish the install. Even he said the installation was more difficult than it should have been.

I bought this InSinkErator to replace one similar. I have been very satisfied with this product.

Badger 5XP

Unlike the Badger I replaced, the installation was not as easy. The previous one, push the badger up to the mount, turn the ring until it starts to connect and then rotate the badger for location. This new one, would not allow me to rotate the ring without rotating the badger as well making it harder. Once I got it started, and slightly snug, then I could rotate the badger into position. Well pleased with the product.

Disposal was very easy to put in and was more powerful than the original disposal. Very pleased with my purchase.

Install was not trouble free

Everything went smoothly with install, but some modification of plumbing was necessary due to upgrading from the old 1/2 hp to 3/4 hp Insinkerator, but it was well worth the slight additional work. Disposal has been functioning without difficulty.

Replacement Unit for an Insinkerator

This unit is louder than the one I replaced, but works well. Seems to have a vibration at times too.

the GE garbage disposal we replaced lasted 17 years without any issues. Within two weeks of installing this one, it clogged, the motor overheated, and it blocked our drain. Once the motor cooled down, the unit functioned again, but now we are afraid to actually put anything of substance into it.

Product performs well in the elimination of waste from the meals.

I chose this product to replace an existing unit. Easy to install in less than an hour and started reight up.

Works better than old disposal

We really appreciate our new Badger 5XP as it is more quiet than the older model that we had to replace. It also seems to have a higher rpm and is more efficient that the one than needed replaced. We are pleased with the replacement at this time.

Replace garbage disposal

I purchased a Badger 5XP to replace my old insinkerator that curiously just quit working. This one has worked flawlessly thus far, no issues at all, and is much quieter than its predecessor. A friend installed it for me, not a licensed plumber, and it took a lot longer than anticipated to get it hooked up and running properly. I would recommend this product .

Powerful yet quiet operation

We will only buy InSinkErator disposers. We have noted that the Badger series is very powerful and works relatively quietly in its operation.
