Great for a temporary solution

I just moved into a new house and the existing dryer vent that ran under the house was not only made of plastic but also clogged with lint... both major fire hazards. I bought this to use the dryer for a couple of weeks until I had time to get a permanent solution. For that it was perfect. Expect the room to get very warm when you run your dryer as this only catches lint. The warm air from the dryer dissipates into the the room it’s in. Maybe a benefit in the winter but definitely not the summe...

Desperate for moisture in the air

This has SAVED our life this winter!! It is SUPER dry...to the point of having headaches. I was running a humidifier 23/7 with no relief in sight. Thought about a whole house humidifier...around $200 bucks. For less than $8 dollars our problem is solved. Doing a little laundry gets the house warm, moist and smelling great!!

Not totally impressed

Although the vent is a place for the lint to go versus blowing it into the wall (which is what the previous owners did), I think a knee high stocking would do a better job. You have to keep water in it, but even at that, the lint still flies around. It does not stay on the wall well, the dryer hose wouldn't stay attached and the top of the vent kept coming apart so I had to use strong gorilla tape to tape everything together, which makes it a pain to take apart and clean. Humidifier

Our house is so dry in the winter. We have an outside vent, but wanted to try this. It works great. Takes the dryness out of the house and prevents those static shocks. Takes less time to dry clothes also. Just be sure to clean out the unit after each load of clothes.

Not what I expected

The product in the box did not match the instructions. It was suppose to have a clip system that attached to the wall but the product was redesigned eliminating the wall clip. The new design changed the utility of the product. I did not want to try to install two screws into the wall and then attempt to fit the unit onto the screws. Each time the dryer is used the basket water is to be emptied and fresh water added. This was not going to be a suitable arrangement for me. I would have returned it...

Good product

There were two things that kept me from giving this product 5 stars. First of all, the 5 foot hose was too short for my space, so I ended up using the 8 foot hose I already had. Secondly, I think it would be great if there were some type of mesh covering the holes in the top portion of the vent...to prevent stray lint from flying all over my laundry room. Despite these drawbacks, the vent works well!

Hose too short...

The quality is ok for the vent assembly itself, but the screws are too skinny and too short, the clamps that come with it are worthless, and last but not least the hose that came with it is WAY too short to wall mount it where you can reach it (seems the manufacturer forgot that the vent hole on the dryer is at the bottom usually). Glad I kept the old vent hose because I had to use it to add on to this one to make it work. But hey, it was cheaply priced.

Must have

Having a dryer in the basement with no convenient outlet for a vent can be a pain. I have been using the same indoor vent for about 12 years. After so many cleanings it had become warped and wasn't containing the lint properly. Lowe's fixed me up with a little help finding the product. Now I have a lint free basement and no more mess and no more sneezing. Thanks Lowe's.

Its alright

The hose wasn't long enough for my application so I had to spend another 9 bucks on a different hose, but it works OK.

Hard to put on

Clamps and hose fall off when moved because they are not able to secure well. The hose should also be longer.

Does what it is intended for- wish it had a better bracket- and a bracket to hold the bucket

This product causes the laundry room to turn into a very wet mess. Within only a few minutes, the entire floor and all walls were moist from the humidity this unit expels. Neat idea but did not work for the application as it's called for.

Indoor Dryer Vent

We have been looking for something like this for a long time. It sets in our garage and takes up practically no space. My wife saw it our friends house. When we asked a store employee she didn't think it existed but when she took us to the dryer venting aisle there it was. It holds water which keeps down on dryer dust, lint and adds moisture to air. Haven't had more than a couple weeks so can't yet comment on durability or quality. Comes with everything you need.
