So far - it's very good

Seems like a high quality fan. I believe it's quieter than the other fans in our house. Looks good. Installation was not bad. It clearly took me way longer than the 5 minutes it says on the box - heck it took me 5 minutes to open the box and unwrap all the stuff. It's only been installed for a little more than a week so far. It's in my son's room and he has used it quite often.

So easy to install

The bracket that connects to the electrical box has hooks to hold the fan body while wiring. This feature made it so easy to install. Note: the fan only comes with wood screws to attach ceiling bracket. If you're attaching the bracket to an electrical box (as most people do), buy the machine screws (if new box) you'll need or re-use the ones in the previous fan.

solid fan

Bought this for my daughter's room and it is very nice. Opted for plain white as her room is colorful enough. Very nice fan, easy install. Cannot assess durability as only been installed for a week.

Not 5 minutes

The product advertises 5 minute installation. Probably the only way you can do that is to have a mock-up that already has the old fan and light product removed. I likes the quick connect feature between the light fixture and fan. I think it would go even quicker if they would devise a quick connect for the power source connections.

It took me over an hour to assemble and mount the ceiling fan. A far cry from the five minutes the advertisement mentions. I have assembled over half a dozen fan/ceiling fans and this was probably the most time consuming. I was ready to return it to Lowe's for a refund. Only time will say rather it is a quality "Hunter" brand fan/light.

Light kit problem

Since I needed the light kit, I have to give a low rating. Bulbs started burning out within a week of installation. I specifically asked at the store if they'd had any problems with this and they said they had not had any reports. I had hoped that a company such as Hunter would have resolved this problem. The fan, itself is working fine, so far.

We'll. not really 5 min

We purchased 3 of these fans for our house in Ohio. They mounted easy and fast. Room in the ceiling shroud for the Hunter remote (separate purchase) . The amazing part was each fan was perfectly balanced. Worth every penny.

Ceiling Fan

Honestly an all around good ceiling fan. Good quality, decent asthetic design, and absolutely idiot-proof installation. Well worth the cheap price if you are looking for a quick way to add a fan to a room.

Excellent Fan!

I am SO happy with this fan. It is in my Guest Bedroom and does just what I wanted it to do. Have Hunter Fans throughout my home and they are THE BEST!! Have to say it took my electrician more than "5 minutes" to install!!

Third One

I've just installed my third one of these fans, one in a house in FL and the other two in a condo in FL and are very pleased with them. I would hope that most people would recognize the "5 Minute installation" as hyperbola. It is however quite easy to install and should certainly be in the capability of most homeowners. I've installed twelve (wow didn't realize it was THAT many) over the last few years all purchased from Lowe's and have yet to have a problem.

Very good for the money

Fan is very quiet and easy to install. I just bought another Hunter fan because of this one.

Funny commit

Listed as a 5 minute fan, should read 5 hour fan. Course my installation was a bit out of the ornery. The end result is very nice. But 5 minute, please ! :)

Nice fan

nice fan for kids room. Easy to install, but let's be serious, it takes more than 5 minutes (and this is the second one I installed). Overall, good product for price.

design defect in light kit

I purchased 4 of these fans plus 2 of the 52 inch version. I installed them over a period of time on a home I was remodeling.( I have 9 Hunter fans in this house plus I left 6 Hunter fans in house I moved from- so I guess you could call me a loyal customer.) In April, the light went out in 1 fan. I replaced the switch and checked everything as far as possible. I notified Hunter and they replaced the kit within about 30 days. The second light kit went out in November. I notified Hunter and was in...

Wonderful ceilingfan!

I purchased this fan to replace a very old one. It didn't go together in 5 minutes, no, but it didn't take longer than 15 to get it installed. It works great, with no wobbles, ticks, sound, or hassle. It puts out a ton of air even on low, and it's very pretty.
