As my generator purrs along so does my cat
I welcomed this new generator after Hurricane Maria devastated my island (St Croix) and have been using it twice daily for weeks. The eco throttle is so quiet my cat enjoys sleeping on the roof of the generator house! It replaced my 20 year old Honda gen EM5000sx (that was still working). My cat wouldn't get within 50 feet of that noisy old one!

Used on a food truck
Almost 200 hours on this one now and it's never missed a beat. We primarily use it for our food truck. Canada Day 150 this year put it to its biggest test and it performed flawlessly. Recently purchased a Honda EU7000is to run my small cabin and well pump. Generator came packaged very well, thick cardboard and even plywood in the box to protect the generator during shipping. Unpacking and intalling the wheels on the generator was a little cumbersome by myself, but was managable. After adding the oil, gas, and connecting the battery the generator fired right up. Nut for negative battery terminal doesn't seat, so be prepared for front panel removal or using picks, hooks, and time on your knees to do it right. If you 'mess up', things fall into the bottom case. Where is the promised parallel kit!
I have had this generator for over two years is a five star generator but I have been waiting to buy a second one to parallel to meet my current demands but NO KIT what is up Honda? Where is it? I have seen pictures on the web but shows discontinued by manufacture every where I look. How about schematics so I can make my own?

Still No Parallel Kit
I bought one of these generators on the assumption that there would be a parallel kit. When I went to purchase my second generator they told me that it was discontinued. After a little research on the Internet, it seems as if Honda can’t get the parallel kit to work properly. I would have gone a different route had I known that the parallel kit is still non-existent. If you’re not going to release a parallel kit, you should stop advertising that it does parallel!!!

Is this really normal?
Just picked up a new unit from the dealer. When idling or under light load in eco mode, there is a distinct "whine" that comes from the front of the unit. The whine is not there under load or when eco mode is off. This whine is definitely noticeable and impacts how loud the unit is. In a campground the utility of eco mode is diminished. The dealer contacted Honda technical support and was told "this was normal". I have other Honda generators that do not do this in eco mode, I have not seen this ...

Let first say.....Great gen, Honda thru and thru. But no pick point...huh? Now I get that your average homeowner will never need a pick point but how about a bolt on accessory? PLEASE have one of your engineers CAD up a bolt on pick point for guys who use these bad boys on jobsites.
