Great Generator for home, camping

We use our eu7000is to run our 38 foot Grand Design camper with 2 ac units. We turned on everything in our camper and could still stand beside the generator and talk normal. It is an amazing unit and worth the money. When we are home we have our home adapted to run off the generator when the power goes out. It runs the heat and or AC plus all the lights, fridge, TV, and water pump with out a getting close to the units max. We recommend this unit.

Extreemly quiet

This is a new purchase. I have yet to power my home with it. After removing/charging the battery, filling the oil and an initial start up and run, I am impressed. One of the selling points of this generator was it's db noise rating. I did not disappoint. There are a few things that I would like to see in subsequent model design. 1. Instead of needing a screw driver to open the access panels, I would recommend a knob for eas of use. 2. I found the battery compartment very cramped with respect t...

Honda EU700is

Purchased the EU700is for a scheduled grid shutdown in my area. Power was supposed to be turned off “for only 4 hours”. Knowing the unreliable nature of power in the Pacific Northwest on a good day, I thought I better get prepared. The EU7000is performed flawlessly during the outage (9 hours). Ran suitable gauge extension cords to feed two refrigerator/freezers, and a few smaller gauge cords to keep power for Dish TV and internet which made my wife and son happy.

Gas tank rusted out

Great generator, but unfortunately, after only about three years, the gas tank completely rusted out I was using ethanol fuel as well as fuel additive. Clearly the gas tanks are not industrial like the rest of the unit. Hopefully they switch over to plastic or metal..

Waited for the right time to buy. Been wanting the "big" EU7000 for a few years. Bought one and am super happy. Easy to use, run and operate. The best of the best!

Can't believe how quiet it is!

Used for the 2024 cyclone "bomb" event in Washington. 5 days without power, and ran this generator 13-14 hours/day. I ran 3 radiant heaters, lights, multiple fans and charged three phones. No problem! Wish that the heat this puts out from engine cooling could be separated from the exhaust and recycled to the house. Love this generator!! Only problem is can't link to the Blootooth

An absolute awesome piece of equipment,

I primarily use this generator for home use as I live in Florida and hurricanes along with tropical storms we experience power outages fairly frequently. This machine handles my needs perfectly with flawless and worry free operation. I’ve owned several different generators and this Honda is hands down far and above all the other ones. Home back up gen set

Really like the honda reliability and how quiet these EU's are. This is our 3rd Honda generator, this purchase is not really for portability, but home back up when needed. Our little EU2000 has been around for over 20 years, used a ton and works everytime. highly recommend a Honda.

Great for home backup power.

My Honda generator has worked out great for us. We’ve had several incidents where we lost power for several hours to several days and we had power with our Honda generator setup . I would definitely recommend this unit for people looking for a reasonable cost compared to a whole house system.

Great Back up Home Generator!

This generator is fantastic. I can run almost everything in my house even the AC with a soft start installed. I have ran this for a total of 3 days so far due to the derecho in Houston. No problems and starts up every time.

The best portable home backup generator available

We lose power a lot in rural New Hampshire, even in the summer. This generator allows me to heat my house and keep the refrigerator, freezer, and water all powered up. Super easy to maintain with good access to spark plug, air filter, and oil fill/drain plugs. I really like the bluetooth and app. Makes it easy to monitor the maintenance schedule. I expect this to be the last generator I ever buy. We all know Honda's run forever if you maintain them.

Too complicated, too many bells and whistles

Why does a small generator need a crank shaft position sensor? My generator stopped working less than a year after purchase. The issue ended up being a bad crank shaft position sensor, and it needs to be rebuilt by Honda. It has been in the shop for over a month now. Just make them simple and more reliable like a Honda should be.

Fantastic home backup generator

Bought this and had an electrician install a generator connection to my electric panel because where we live there are numerous outages due to poor power grid vegetation maintenance. Extremely reliable EFI generator. Installed the lift kit part #06531-Z11-E00ZA A according to the manual page 120, but had to move the bar 3-1/4" forward to find the perfect balance point with a full tank of gas.

Its in another league

We had four major power outages of 4 to 5 days each this year alone. It never faltered! We ran four refrigerator/freezers, one 240 volt well pump, one gas furnace (central heating), a large 75 inch flat screen tv, numerous lights, on a continual basis except during refueling and quick oil changes and it never stopped. Never any issues. So quiet, i had to open the outside door to hear if it was running. You can barely hear the thing even when you are standing 25 feet from it and is so frugal. Run...

Amazing..QUIET work horse!

We use our generator to power up our solar battery bank when the sun is not at high UV. this Honda generator is soo quiet compared to anything else we have used. Honda’s are the best all around. We have cars, lawnmowers, weed eaters all with the NAME HONDA! The Best!

Home back up generator

Primarily a back up power when the line power goes out . Shipping was great , this things a beast ! Easy to assemble , packaging is heavy duty !! No doubt top of the line ! It’s heavy but very quiet ! App is cool , the fact that it has remote start is a plus . It’s expensive but if you want a generator that works , starts and is built like a tank there’s no comparison!
