i do small engine repair as a hobby and i rarely ever work on honda generators unless they have not been used for a long period of time. Most of the time the problem occur when the owner has been using ethanol fuel. Most other brands especially chinese clones nave a multitude of problems. I have honda products to be high quality,easy to use,very low noise and very low maintenance.

Everything you could want from a generator
I keep this generator in the back of my truck as a mobile power source. It's mainly used to power an off grid cabin, lights, coffee maker, microwave, Tv & Dvd player toaster oven, battery chargers.It starts easily and on Eco is very quite and fuel efficient. Performed wonderfully. Very quiet, started with no issues. Sat out on our deck running through the rain and wind. Two extension cords connected to the two 20Amp outlets, coming in through the window (towel wrapped in a garbage bag acting as seal for the window). We have owned an EU3000is since 2005. Here in South Florida they are a life-saver after a hurricane. We run our refrigerator, a few lights and a portable AC unit. But they can sit for years if we have quiet storm seasons. Ours has only needed to have a new battery installed since we bought it. I always turn off the fuel supply and let the machine run itself out of gas, so that the carburetors don't get gummed up. I try to remember to run it about once a month, but every two or three months...

This was the 3rd generator we have bought. The others were so noise we could hardly hear with them on, but this Honda eu3000is is so quiet you don't even know it's running. We returned the other 2 generators and are definitely keeping the Honda. Love the electric start and the ease of using it.

Excellent generator
I have used this generator every day, 5 days a week for 4 years in my mobile dog grooming business. It starts multiple times each day and runs for hours at each stop. It is just now in the shop for a minor repair but I couldn't be happier with this generator.

EU 3000IS Genny
We've used the Honda 3000is generator several times since we purchased it. Relatively quiet and very easy to use but too heavy for for one person to move around or lift to the back of my truck. It handles the load from our small 5th wheel with ease, provide we don't use the AC and microwave at the same time. Would be too costly to add a second unit to fully power the RV.

Not A Single Problem
Read the directions, twice. Did all the things required of me before even inserting the key. Turned it on and it runs like a charm. During use, had one issue of it shutting down immediately when too much draw on it. Set the quiet switch off and it worked fine. Love the ease of access to the carb and the oil. Tubes to drain the gas and change the oil are mess free. Real thought put into the product. Quiet as can be. Discussions over how quiet it is while standing over it.

2 months & Stopped Running
The Generator is used to run small A/C unit (5000 BTU). Have used twice on very hot days. Today I started the generator and it ran fine for about 5 min. and then stopped running and will not restart.. I have used a total of 3 gallons of gas since purchased. Finding a cause for generator failure has not been easy, there does not seem to be any trouble shooting information any where. I have solar power for most electric needs and only use generator when a/c is needed.

This is the 3rd season I've used my EU3000iS to power my off grid boathouse at the lake. The noise level is so low that the stereo masks it. I can run everything we need including refrigerator, ceiling fans,hot plate coffee maker,etc. The only thing that challenges it is the boat lift which I have to turn off economy mode to run.
