Not quite the quality level expected for the price
Would Not RecommendI purchased this fan/light control to change what was a single light switch into a dual control for light and fan. To do this, I had to pull a new wire from the switch box to the ceiling box so that it was 14/3 instead of 14/2 wire. That was expected, and everything went relatively smoothly. Using this control allowed me to do this without having to replace the wall box and make it larger for separate light and fan switches. Easy to Install - But Flimsy Switches
Would Not RecommendThis is an easy-to-install universal switch. However, I was very disappointed with the flimsiness of the two slides/switches. They are loose in the housing and have no resistance to motion at all. The fan switch at least clicks at several stops, but the light switch provides no tactile feedback at all. Perhaps this is to be expected for an inexpensive switch combination, but I was disappointed in the quality - even for an inexpensive unit.

Would Not RecommendI only bought this control switch because it was what my step-father wanted. Had to replace the previous switch because the exact same one failed after about fourteen months. The light side of the switch stopped working. Maybe it was just lemon or a bad batch. I gave it TWO STARS because it was still available.

poor quality
Would Not RecommendIt was installed in December, by March one of the slider controls broke off. Had a little run around on the warranty. Lowes said to call Harbor Breeze, Harbor Breeze sent me back to Lowes. I then went back to Lowes who did give me a refund. I do keep my receipts and warranty on all electronic devices. It really helped as I could prove exactly when I bought this.

Excellent ceiling fan and light wall switch
Would RecommendNot only is this single-gang dual switch one of the more attractive ones on the market, it functions beautifully. Both switches are easy to use, and I love the 4-speed option for the fan. In addition, the switch comes with its own cover plate, so you don't have to worry about trying to color match an after-market cover plate. The above said, I have a warning to pass along to prospective buyers, regarding installation. Namely: This switch was not properly designed for "old work" electric box...

Makes a loud humming noise
Would Not RecommendI purchased and installed this switch yesterday. It works; however, there is a loud humming noise coming from the switch. I'll give it 2 stars because technically it does work. I will be returning the item as it should not make noise that you can hear 20' away.
