Would Not RecommendMy experience with this product has been sub par at best. My wife and I have used Miracle Gro garden soil in our raised beds in the past and have not needed to use additional fertilizer. This product stunted every single thing we attempted to grow in it -- radishes, carrots, beans, peppers, beets, spinach, lettuce. Hardly “Soil”
This should not be called soil. This is more like a composted mulch. Theres hardly any peat moss, its almost all mulch and a small amount of perlite. I would recommend mixing this with something like Sunshine #4 to make a nice fluffy potting mix.
A lot of coverage for a good price
Would RecommendI Needed 1.1 cu yards of good soil for a large raised bed. For around the same price of having loose soil delivered, I purchased 12 bags of this mix as well as 8 bags of top soil. I added 8 bags + the top soil and it filled the bed nicely and after a day of the mix settling I added the remaining 4 bags. The plants that we planted took well to the mix and are doing good. Also, This mix does not seem to dry out quickly even in the afternoon sun in 90+ degree weather. Highly recommend.
