Would Not RecommendBuying this jointer is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I've probably spend upwards of 30 hrs adjusting and readjusting this thing trying to get the beds coplaner or realigning the fence. A jointer is a tool that you cannot skimp on. It needs to be sturdy and built to better tolerances. Save your money and buy a real jointer or get a jointer plane.

Almost perfect 8” jointer!
Would RecommendI really can’t give it a 5 star…it’s that fence that’s messing up the 5 star rating in my opinion. First, it’s a nightmare to square. You think u have it, you tighten the lever screw and recheck…one side is off. Then finally you get it to square, use it…if you end up pushing on the fence slightly stronger, bam it’s freaking off! This is unacceptable engineering Grizzly, please smack that fence designer of yours and have em’ fix this annoying set back from getting a 5 star rating 😒 However, t...

Would RecommendVery smooth and produces good lumber. Took a twisted 2x4 and jointed the face, then the edge and it came out perfectly square. It was easy to adjust the fence to a perfect 90 and 45 degrees. I also like the depth gauge; it was easy to set to zero and it is precise. It replaced a 1959-60 vintage Craftsman 4" when the motor failed, and is a terrific choice. For a table top unit, it is very capable and worth it.

Very Happy So Far
I've had this for a week and I am very happy with it so far. Right out of the box, the infeed/outfeed tables were flat and co-planer. I've not checked the 45 degree setting on the fence yet, but the 90 degree setting required no adjustment. My test piece was a 3"x3"x16" piece of red oak with the depth set at 1/64". Per procedure, I ran a face side first, and then the adjoining edge through the jointer. Checking it with an engineer square proved the sides to a perfect 90 degrees. After wa...

Excellent jointer for fine woodworking
Would RecommendI am very pleased with my new Grizzly 8” jointer! The construction is solid and heavy duty for a benchtop tool, the cutter height and fence adjustment controls are accurate and easy to use, it easily set up in minutes out of the shipping box, and the motor is smooth, powerful and up to the task. The planes are smooth and accurate. I make furniture at home, so space was a consideration. I am a fan of this tool.
