What Customers Are Saying
The product is well-built and sturdy, producing smooth, accurate results, especially when working with hardwood. The spiral cutterhead provides a superior finish compared to straight blades. Setup is straightforward, with minimal adjustments required, and the dust collection system works well. The compact size and relatively low price make this a great option for small workshops or hobbyists, providing professional-level capabilities in a space-saving design. While a few customers experienced minor issues, such as difficulty squaring the fence or occasional drift in the outfeed table, these were generally easily resolved.

Wow, this little dynamo has done everything I've ask including edging a 10' mahogany board perfectly. I really like the 8" planning capability and it is easy to use but rugged! Glad I went with the grizzly....

Perfect for the small shop
I've had an old 50s 6" Craftsman jointer my father-in-law gave me ages ago. It worked, but when I saw this model with a spiral head cutter, eight inches wide and pull out bed extensions I was sold. Well, it cuts like butter on a summer day and has great dust collection. A great addition to my shop. Rob Cook Editor, Popular Woodworking, 1992-1994

It works great as long as your expectations are set properly. It is an awesome bench top unit. One of the few 8" wide models out there. You do need it hooked up to some sort of dust collection. It is not a long bed, free standing unit so don't expect it to be the best for long lumber. Setup was quick and easy.

Love it with one issue
Used this to flatten a few dozen boards now. Works great fast and pretty quiet. Only issue I have is the fence was a bit difficult to get to stay at 90 degrees. Also the fence is a bit short could stand to be a bit taller.

So smooth!
It took a little while to get the tables coplanar, but after that it's been great! So smooth compared to straight blades. Fence stays square. Extension rods are nice to have.
