Perfect for me

I got two of these feeders in May... Are they 100% squirrel proof? No, but that's okay... I have a couple of feeding stations in my yard. One is JUST for birds and feeders are 8 foot off the ground - I've got a squirrel baffle on the pole and the squirrels haven't figured out how to get to that feeder at all. Dead bird

It's probably a freak thing but a Chickadee got it's head stuck in the food slot and died. Rethink the size of the holes.

Not squirrel proof

The birds love this house, but so do the squirrels. The squirrels figured out how to get the seeds and nuts from the birdfeeder even though it’s supposed to be squirrel proof, squirrels, hang upside down from the roof and don’t put any weight on the bar to close the opening where the seeds and nuts are.

It holds bird food

The triggers to block "heavy hands" work. But the lids concealing the food don't spring back open for birds.

Not happy with how wet it got after the rain.

It looks good at our house and appears to be keeping the squirrels at bay.

Not Squirrel Proof

I wish I read the reviews first before buying because the gray squirrels are as smart as the others posted here hanging onto the roof by their feet to avoid putting weight on the feeder bar. They average 2 days to clean it out. It's going back.

Not squirrel or dove proof

The feeder works fine but I was trying to feed only small birds but the dove have taken over so the cardinals do not come around anymore. I have tried all 3 resistance settings but none are sensitive enough to make the hopper close when the dove sit on it. I am going to try other styles in hopes of enticing the cardinals to come back.

Would by it again

Great look, trigger works very well easy to adjust settings. Has attracted so many new varieties of birds. Would definitely buy it again. Funny watching the squirrel’s get frustrated because they can’t get the seed.

Better than most

I bought 2 & yes, some squirrels can reach but they get tired. I mounted both in metal poles, baffles & I add oil to the poles. Yes, it is time consuming but I love to feed the birds. Sadly, a mama bear came to my yard and destroyed both. Nothing you can do so I will contact the seller & see if they can fix them. I hope or that's the end of buying expensive feeders.

Cheaply Made - Audubon Endorsement Rediculous

No stars is a better rating ! I purchased this "squirrel resistant" bird feeder because of numerous problems with these pests as well as the alleged endorsement of the Audubon society. The item is "tinny", poorly constructed and designed. Within 2 days the "swing perches" did not work correctly. Beautiful

We wanted a stylish, unique and well made feeder and this is all that and more! It's beautiful in our yard, has the squirrel baffles and is easy to fill and clean. It's worth every penny!

Sturdy

More sturdy than my previous birdhouse. Feeder slots let bigger bits get through. Looks great. Wish the hanger was adjustable.

The squirrels broke the handles and now it’s closed shut, the birds can’t get to the food.

It’s ok

This feeder is not 100% squirrel proof but it does cause the squirrels to not recieve so much food from the feeder which I am grateful for. The squirrels have to try very hard to get food from this feeder verses my other feeders from lowes it’s so open that they have a field day on it and it makes them extremely happy. At least this feeder is pretty, sturdy (not of cheap material) and not complete my open. It does well.
