Greenworks String Trimmer

This was supposed to be a new weed wacker but after using it for 1 hour I started having problems with the lock out button not moving. I contacted Lowes and they said I had to go through Greenworks company. For 2 days Greenworks has not returned my call. I bought the tool from Lowes and they should help me.

Can’t Get Enough Greenworks Tools

This string trimmer was the first Greenworks tool I purchased over a couple of years ago. I was so pleased with its service that I have since purchased a chainsaw, leaf blower, hedge trimmer and tiller. All tools work seamlessly with the same batteries. So wonderful to have things that are always ready to go. No problems with stale gas or gummed up carburetors. Whole lot lighter than gas counterparts as well.

POOR PARTS DEPT

I BOUGHT STB460 STRING TRIMMER ONE YEAR AGO, AND THE BUMPER HEAD IS BROKEN AND THERE IS NOT REPLACEMENT PART FOR IT.

Solid and dependable for average uses!

I've had this trimmer for a few months now and have been using it to go along fence lines and edging sidewalks. My yard is about 1,000 square feet in an urban setting with sidewalks and other developed edges, so being able to trim and keep grass from overhanging is important. I find this does the job very well and has plenty of power for the task. If you're in a more rural setting with thicker-than-average weeds, it might not be quite powerful enough. So disappointed in weed eater

I haven't tried the blower yet, but the string weed eater was extremely disappointing. The only thing it can cut is grass, it is useless on the weeds, which is why I needed it in the first place.

80V of power

I was unable to find a trimmer cap for my 60V model. I decided to upgrade to the 80V model. I never encountered problems with my 60V model so i knew the 80v would be just as reliable. It took all of 5 minutes to unbox. The moment i heard the fan activate while charging the battery i was sold. I have a little under an acre. This model performed effectively and efficiently. 40 Volt Trimmer

Great trimmer, I bought this without rhe battery. I already had another Greenworks tool that used th same battery. Does the same job as my gass trimmer. Battery life is great. I use a 2ah battery. Only downside of this trimming is that it is on the heavy side.

Good trimmer

I like the way the unit is powered and cuts grass well. I do find the the trimmer to be a bit heavy compared to what I have been using in the past. I will have to adjust to the different weight and feel.

Good performance, horrible restring process

While it's running, the unit does a good job of powering through common weed and grasss chores. However, once you run out of line, you have to remove the spool from the bump mechanism and head and they only provide a fully filled replacement spool. It's not as simple as most of the other trimmers out there, which allow you to respool while the cartridge is still attached. This one is borderline infuriating. Hands down winner over gas models

I have several other Greenworks tools that all use the same battery, and at 40V I can get a lot of edging done with this. It's so much better than my gas model. It's a little lighter (with a 5A or 6A battery it's not featherweight) than the gas one I have. It's also quieter and most importantly I don't smell like exhaust when I'm done. There's very little maintenance on electric tools which is a big plus. The guard keeps most of the grass and debris from hitting me, which I can't say is the cas...
