Handy remote temperature sensor

Helps maintain temperature in a room far from the main Nest sensor. Easy to set up, instructions are clear. You add the remote sensor via the Nest app on your phone- a warning pops up and asks permission to use your phone's camera and microphone which I denied. That was a mistake, they didn't say why they needed it- turns out they need it for taking a picture of the bar code. Still, I recommend.

Disappointed - I returned it

I had high hopes that this would be a step up from my programmable thermostat (which I've had for 15+ years and love). However, I don't like the fact that it thinks it's smarter than I am. Maybe it is smarter, but it doesn't obey my instructions. I like to be able to program it for the times I know we'll be home or gone, or for certain times, but also to change it manually when I want. This unit has a learning feature where it takes note of what you set the thermostat at during different times ...

A Must Have...

A must have for Nest Thermostat!!

I absolutely love the three Nest Temperature sensors I bought. I was having a big issue with the temperature at the thermostat being different than other rooms of my home. The Nest sensors solved everything. You can even tell Nest which room to use for the temperature you want. I would highly recommend these to anyone, especially if you like to monitor your home while you are away.

Like the idea of remote monitoring of a room without wired thermostat. It was easy to set up. Looks slick and innocuous too.

Works Flawlessly

Have a Nest smart home. This is one part of the system that is awesome. Have many installed throughout the home. Temperatures differ from one room to the next. Each show up on a list in the thermostat window. With a button and the temp reading of each. Can have the thermostat cool or heat according which sensor selected. Can put on table next to me to cool or heat to perfect temp.

Great addition to my home

I have a zone just for my A/C upstairs of a single family home and the family room Down stairs was always 3-4 degrees warmer and the Nest sensor solved the issue. It was simple to set up and works great.

Smart accessory and affordable

I’m so glad to see that Google Nast finally offer a sensor to add throughout the house! This is a huge selling point that I absolutely love. The sensors are very easy to set up, and keep my home very comfortable!

A Must Have

This temperature sensor has made our house more comfortable during the warm days. Especially when it comes to cooling down the upstairs before bed so we can sleep comfortably. Would recommend anyone with a Nest thermostat to get one of these as well.

I like the additional temperature control.

My master bedroom on the second floor is usually warmer in the winter and summer. I bought this temperature sensor a few weeks ago, hopefully to solve this problem. So far it works well this winter, I programmed its use before the bedtime.

Carry it anywhere (within the WiFi reach)

The best feature of this tiny gadget is the most obvious and the least technological! It is portable and can be carried with you any and everywhere ... within the area being controlled by the thermostat. We, as a family, gather and stay put for extended periods at various areas within our large living room. We carry the portable temperature sensor with us for optimal temperature in that area!

Scheduling was tricky but working on it

So far the sensor I have in my master bedroom has maintained the night temp I like very well. My thermostat is in a room filled with windows which heats up quicker than most other rooms in my house. This sensor was a necessity to help regulate the temp (at an energy saving rate) throughout the day throughout the year.
