We were if a snow storm everything shut down my generator ran like a champ it powered my whole house it was a awesome purchase

More than enough to power your home after a hurricane.. it powers our well, refrigerator, and water heater and a few rooms (I only say a few because I know how some people abuse these machines). I love this generator! Glad it came with the power cord though I didn't need it

No Cord? beware of real cost.

Going to make a good unit for brief outages. The only problem, it doesn't come with the cord to power the house.....makes no sense to sell a generator for outages and ship it with an power tool extension cord. Had to spend another $100 for the 30 amp 10/4 cord. My experience in the past with these portable generators has been, they come with both cords.

I have had a generac home standby generator for almost 10 years it works great. I purchased this one for use at my campsite for christmas and halloween decorations and backup power to my camper.

Easy to operate. All controls and guide instructions are easy to understand. The supplied extension cord is nice! The only negative is the noise!

Big enough to get the job done

It was delivered and have not had to use it as of yet but we have peace of mind that we have it in case of an emergency.

Good generator

Purchased this generator in case we did need it in this hurricane season. Checked out a few other ones and went with this one for the quality of Generac and the price was good. Never had or used a generator before, this one seems easy to set up and use.

Too early to tell

I just took delivery if this unit 2 days ago and have not had a chance to use it. I did assemble the wheels and handle and put gas in it. It started right up and seemed to work as advertised.

I looked all around for this gen and read all the revieus out there and for the watts and for the price this was the best value to power my home, buy one its the better one avable

Happy with choice

Compared price and availability with several brands with similar output, including Harbor Freight Predator. Determined this appeared to be best overall value of generators in stock in my area when I was ready to purchase. Easy to set up and started on 2nd pull. All outlets worked and powered various test hookups as expected. Will now store away until we encounter a power outage. Hurricane season is here. Only complaint so far is the sound level...wife thinks it is too loud, but better than...

It was a great big piece of junk.

It would not start let alone run. Worked on it for 3 days. Cleaned everything, new plug, new air filter, new gas. Nothing. Returned it.

Well built generator

After removing from the box and performing minor assembly and servicing per the manual, the engine fired on first pull. I checked the generator out, tested all sockets no problems at all. Very sturdy and I like the handle, makes it easy to move around. For me it was money well spent.

Good features, reliable starts

Good features, reliable starts. I needed generator during storm and it provided all the power I needed.

Pull cord did nothing but slide out and go limp

Do not buy - poor quality. Spent several hours unpack aging and assembly to finally go to start and the pull cord did nothing - just slide out and lay on ground limp. Generac told me to return it for another. Stores do not have any in stock.
