Works great!

This transfer switch has been great and very convenient. The instructions that come with it though are not very good. I made a video on how to install it and also operate it to make it easier for people to understand.

Built solid and works great

My wife and I live in the countryside and have our power interrupted often. After researching brand names, we finally decided to install a whole home Generac as recommended by our utility company. It is built solid and works great. We finally have peace of mind and no longer sweat out each storm wondering if we’ll lose power. Thanks Generac!

Solid unit with major peace of mind

Installed a month ago and works great. Solid unit bolted down to a poured concrete pad. Nothing flimsy about this beast. Fully automated transfer switch to power our entire estate. Wish it could be quieter than 72db at full load but I guess technology hasn't caught up with that need. You see big 30 to 40kW generators on building sites that are whisper quiet

It is difficult to write a review on a not-yet-functioning unit.

The unit is pretty, all bright and shiny, a very expensive yard ornament. It arrived and was installed by very courteous, dedicated, knowledgei ble individuals, but when the test run began: 1) The unit would not start. A technician was called, and the installers departed. 2) The coolant was low. After being filled with coolant, the unit still would not run. The technician determined there was a bad #3 coil which had to be ordered. I am awaiting completion of all services and testing before I de...

Generac is a terrific product

My Generac generator was installed by Oakwood of Westmont. I have used Westmont for maintenance of my old generator and they have always done a terrific job for me. When it came time to replace the old generator, they were the obvious choice. As expected, they did a great job, made the process easy and the team that installed it could not have been friendlier or more efficient. I can't imagine using anyone else for generator needs. JJ

One thing mission

Unlike my old Generac, there is no way to prevent anyone from having access to the controls except for a plastic cover and place for a small lock. This is a serious defect from the stand point of personal protection and home security. If I had know this in advance, I would have looked at other brands.

This product has the features we wanted. We look forward to having the generator providing our house electricity when the main electricity goes off.

We are very excited to have the new Generac generator. We finally got one and look forward to it providing us a constant flow of electricity when needed.

Early returns are very good. It’s just been installed but everything so far is very good.

Although we have not a power outage as of yet, Holland Electric was A+ to work with from start to finish. The Install went smooth as butter, the unit fired up on first try with no issues. Unit looks fabulous setting on its generpad, well worth the extra money. If it works as well as it looks it will insure power to come for the next generation for decades on the ranch. Just a big peace of mind when the local power is interrupted.

No more extension cords

Installed it my self. Works excellent with one phase super quite gen 3800 watt. All house powered with LED lights, refrigerator, TV, stove, water heater, sump pump and furnace. Making to sure to manage load proper way. Forget about stand by gen with high maintenance

Excellent Quiet Backup

This is an excellent, quiet backup generator. I particularly like the V-8 engine and the aluminum enclosure (which should avoid the rust problems that I have experienced with a previous steel-enclosed generator). I would suggest that the shut-off switch mounted outside the lockable controls makes tampering a little too easy. If an emergency shut-off is needed, it should be wired so as to be operable ONLY while the generator is running.
