Received as gift. Features good but battery won't hold charge more than 24 hours. Support system helpful but problem continued inspite of recommendations. Support service recontacted suggested return watch.

Disappointed in vivoactive 5
I have been using Garmin watches for years for general gym use and active jobs. I really like the app and pack of a monthly subscription. Unfortunately something is wrong with the garmin vivoactive 5 line. I have gone through 1 brand new one where the bezel separated from the base and screen popped out. I purchased a recertified one and the screen has gone completely black in just 5 months. My vivoactive 4 lasted over 2 years. That's why I went to the 5. But now I feel dumb. The watch screens a...

Not Sure
Not Sure. Smaller…. Really . Some features I have on my 4 and don’t have now. Not worth it I wish I would have purchased something else.

Perfect option for the non-pro tri-athlete :)
I upgraded from the 2 and what a difference! It took a minute to relearn some of the differences (and I’m still learning), but just the amount of battery life is incredible! I was charging my old watch every 2-3 days. The only downside I’ve noticed is the lack of compatibility with my Wahoo trainer; but I’ve started hitting the Cardio option so I get my heart rate etc tracked, them update my mileage into the Garmin app after. Other than that, it’s a perfect fit for the tri-athlete who doesn’t n...

Replacing my previous Vivoactive
I bought the Vivoactive 5 to replace my 15+ year old Vivoactive 3. I’m very pleased with the improvements in the model 5, which is much easier to modify and reset functions.

Reliable health suggestions
I purchased this device to better track my workouts and sleep. It has revealed that I am under stress and inadequate sleep the majority of the time. I’m trying to improve my health based on its recommendations.

Love It!
I bought this to replace my much loved (but no longer working) Vivoactive 4. It’s a lot easier to read! It also has new functions like the weather report that I’m using a lot. I’m using the strength and yoga tracking now, as well as the running function that I bought it for. I’m enjoying it so much I bought a Garmin scale to keep track of my progress. The only negative I’ve noticed is that it doesn’t calculate stairs like the Vivoactive 4 did, but that’s not a big deal for me.

Be wary if a new watch comes into range. Jealousy?
There is nothing new about my Vivoactive 5smartwatch. Except that when my husband got a more advanced smartwatch, mine chose to not track sleep, then to not be connected to the Garmin app on my phone at all and stop counting steps as well. "Connecting" my husband's new watch seemed - over time - to disconnect mine! He turned his watch off and reconnected mine and it seems to be responding again.

Great fitness watch.
I bought it to replace my aging Fitbit only to find that it didn’t have the functionality I was seeking. I’m 68 and active. I wanted a device that would track my 4 mile walks, it doesn’t. My Fitbit did including; average-max-min heart rate, miles traveled in hundredths, total & per mile time, steps and calories burned, and more. Update- I jumped the gun. Sometimes we get these surveys a little too quickly, but I’m the one to blame for not fully learning the functionality of my Garmin watch. It d...

Very Pleased with the Upgrade
Very pleased with this recent purchase which replaced my Venu Sq that had started to freeze up occasionally resulting in lost activities/steps. I’m still learning about all of its features but no complaints so far!!

Charging connector port fail.
This is my second vivoactive 5 in 4 months. Due to the fact that the charging port on the watch struggles to stay connected to the cord it’s been the most frustrating purchase I’ve had with Garmin. I’ve come to trust the reliability of the product overall. But this model is terrible when it comes to the connector for charging.

Easy to read
Unable to pare with my iPhone! Once I get pared I think I will love it!!

ok but quirky
This watch is not that easy to configure to personal preferences. I really dislike the ugly clock face for example but it appears to be something I can't change. There is also no way to have constant display without pressing a button.

Great choice!
Love it. Great way to track you miles - the GPS is very accurate.

Could be great but so so now.
I bought this to replace my Venu Sq 2 that would not charge. Of course as soon as I received the Vivoactive 5 the other one suddenly charged. However I have downloaded the golf app and courses and it has never worked. Once it stated it needed to connect to WiFi on the first tee. My friends were interested until they saw the problem with the Golf portion of the device.

An Impressive Watch
I’ve had my Vivoactive 5 for several weeks, and I’m happy with my purchase. The watch has many features that are easy to access and use. The battery holds a charge for several days and charges quickly.

Fantastic non bulky men's sized watch.
So far I love this little watch! It holds a charge, has a ton of features, isn't big and bulky and I was able to find cover that will keep me from destroying it.
