OOooo my I am loving my Garmin Vivoactive5 which has so much to offer and I am still learning about it today Sept. 30 2026 and I love the videos on particular functions that I am needing to learn about. It was on sale so I was able to afford and I do a lot of exercise from golfing, peddling and walking residential areas. So I am very pleased with my new Garmin.

Love it
Bought it 2 weeks ago and love it! I had a vivoactive 3 for years and it was great and 5 has a lot more to offer, from much better battery life, body battery, pulse ox and even more features over 3.

Don’t waste your money.
Terrible. Don’t waste your time. I have turned off every optional item (pulse ox, face display, Wi-fi etc) and I can’t get the battery to last more than 25 hours. I’ve read several Reddit posts. I’ve contacted Garmin directly. There is a real battery issue I had previous Garmin watches most recently the vivoactive 3. The vivoactive 5 is a lemon.

Keeps track of activities and syncs with the EGYM
The vivoactive 5 syncs well with my EGYM app so I can get credit for my bike rides. The watch has all sorts of helpful info. Once I figured how to start and stop activities, it was off to the races.

Battery runs out fast
Does not last long and the battery sucks and I have only had this watch for less than a year
From Garmin
It is not user friendly, still having problems with getting text to the watch. The previous one I had also Vivek 5 the lifetime of the battery only. Lasted 14 months.

Vivoactive5
I just upgraded from the Lily2. This smartwatch is just what I was looking for. I had to charge the Lily2 every morning. That may have had something to do with the fact that it was over 2 years old. I was looking for something with a longer battery life. This Vivoactive 5 started out needing a daily charge. However, when I disabled things that I don't use, the battery lasts at least a week. I don't golf, there is no where near where I live for year-round swimming, I have no where for hiking. I ...

Great dependable watch
Good watch - tracts steps and oxygen levels. When I received this from Garmin it only had a shorter band on attached to the watch - no longer bands. There was no charger in the box either.

Don't buy
Major flaw - drops connection to phone approx once a week. web search indicates common issue. No resolution from Garmin. Pricey watch for this level of crap service

Easy To Read and Use
Bought my watch after having another one that I hated! This is so easy to read the watch face and use! I LOVE it!

Nice features, not including battery life
I bought this Vivoactive 5 to replace my Vivoactive 3. I was looking for more battery life. I am disappointed with the battery life. If I turn off all the nice features, battery life is outstanding. With features on, battery life is on par with my Vivoactive 3, which is many years older than the new model. The display is much nicer and there are additional features.

Could use some help.
If there is a way to remove the word describing the quality of the sleep I had the night before- I would love to know it. I know I had a bad night, I do t need to be told. And I’d love to remove the “Sleep Coach” section. I like the watch. It has a lot of great features- still getting used to the graphics. There was a cute free watch face that I could load onto the watch. But when I try to find information on adjusting anything on the watch- nothing I’ve read has been clear enough- I’m guessing ...

Thin line between love and hate
I bought this watch two years ago and noticed a gradual decline in function. The keeper stopped keeping and the band would loosen. The watch fell off randomly and started to fall off at night resulting in inaccurate sleep metrics. Garmin replaced the keeper 4 times. The battery life declined over time and the connectivity became inconsistent. The watch gets 3 stars because when it was fully operational, I loved it. The sleep metrics, workout information and ability to customize workouts and...
