My first Garmin was a watch in this series. They were square and super bulky. I wore it for about four years and decided it was time to upgrade. While wearing this watch it does everything a beginner would want it to do. I wanted a Garmin because I wanted to track mileage. I think the roundness of the newest generation makes the watch easier to wear and more fashionable. Even with my upgrade I still have my old watch to this day.

Very good with one flaw
I just bought this and I am really liking all of the features. A bit confusing to use, but with time that will get easier. The one flaw that it has is the vibration is very weak and can't be increased. For years I have used the vibration on a different device as an alarm clock in the morning, but this one is so faint it will never wake me up. I would like to see an update sent out to increase the vibration intensity. If this was done, I would give this 5 stars.

Awesome Birthday present!
My boyfriend bought me this smart watch for an early birthday present, I had upgraded from a fitbit HR and I'm so happy that I switched. With this, I can manage my stress, sleeping patterns and so much more. The personalized work outs are an added bonus. I also really enjoy the "body battery" Where it starts you at 100 (if you've had a good night's rest) and throughout the day it'll "drain" But if you rest or take breaks it will "add points" back to your overall score, so it helps with maintaini...

Great GPS watch
Purchased the Forerunner 45 after using an Apple Watch series 3 for the past few months. For me, I wanted something simple that does exactly what you would need from a GPS watch without all the extra stuff that bumps up the cost. The forerunner 45 does just that. It’s simple, looks great at 42mm (one of the best looking Garmin watches imo), collects the fitness data you need, and pairs seamlessly with Garmin Connect. It may not have features like music and a touch screen, but I usually play musi...

Bday present and getting accustomed to the watch has been fun

I have had my Forerunner 45 for over a year now. Has held up wonderfully through canoe trips, everyday running and marathons, biking, and in the cold of cross country skiing.

Perfect runners watch!
I bought this two weeks ago and I love it. It’s everything I could have hoped for and more!

simply perfect
I bought this after being unhappy with both the Apple Watch and Samsung due to either constantly having to charge it or inaccurate mileage when I ran. This watch can go a week with a charge and have no issues. It does everything I need and then some would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!!

Needs an Instruction Manual
The watch is exactly what I expected and wanted. The Connect app is excellent at collecting and presenting a variety of health data. However, the instructions for use are really poor - almost non-existent. After telling you what the 5 buttons do, you are pretty much on your own. I find this unacceptable from a company with products as good as Garmin. Hire someone who knows how to write and how the watches work and let them produce a decent manual. Other that that major problem, the watch i...

Awesome
I am very satisfied with my Garmin. I love how to collect data and display it. Very clear and helpful

IT is clunky and not intuitive
I had a previous garmin that was pretty simple. This one is anything but and, so far, I'm pretty dissatisfied. I'll keep at it... but it's FAR more complicated than it should be for straightforward tasks.

So far so good
I have only had it a couple of days and only used it once, but I love it so far. I love that it tells me when I've completed each mile and that it gives me my mile pace and not a average pace. I still have a lot to learn about it, but look forward to using it more.

Having problems getting settings to open from watch face up key???

Poor quality
Feels cheap and the quality of the picture on the watch reminds me of a old video game. Definitely not worth the money.

The perfect set of features for a tracker
I bought this to compare with the Apple Watch Series 3 that I have and the Garmin is definitely my preference. I find the 45 not as intrusive to wear as the Watch which I found to be heavy after long term wearing. Also I think the fitness data is better than what is collected/displayed by the Watch, and the sleep tracking has been very good (something the Watch doesn't offer).

Replacement for forrunner15
I prefer my 15 but it is no longer sold. It’s cheaper and easier to use, probably because I’m use to it. This seemed the cheapest way to go, I am very frugal, and still have my data on garments connect.

mostly satisfied
Bought this a week ago. At first the pace was way off but I called customer service and it needed software and GPS updating. After that it's more accurate, but not as accurate as I would like it. It is accurate on the mile times and overall times, so that is acceptable. Like the easy-to-use buttons and overall size.
