Great training tool

Measurements of current pace can vary. Mile pace and average pace are very helpful. Used to train for a marathon and worked great for pace, distance and heart rate.

Durable and Comfortable

I have had this watch for about 2 years. The battery life is great; I only charge it about once per week. I am not gentle with watches, and this one is no exception. I have smacked it on so many things and there are no signs of damage. It is easy to use and has all of the basic features that I need + more. I like that it is fairly slim as I am not a fan of chunky watches. I would highly recommend this product!

Good for multisport person

I have used my watch to tracking running, walking, hiking and biking. It is versatile and doesn't have the feel of a bulky watch. It didn't seem to track my hear rate when I was sweating a lot under the watch so that is a downfall. I would recommend this watch for someone who has started working out in the intermediate range of hiking and running.

Relative to Garmin's other models, the forerunner 45 is great option that won't break the bank. It's a work horse in that it's reliable under tough conditions while providing basic data fields for numerous activities.
