Purchase a month ago have play 3 different courses shows yardage very good and hazards , but having an issue with scoring at times misses a hole or find out at finish extra hits or wrong score, have not try manually yet will do next round, overall looks very good maybe with time I learn the tricks , need more time to find out. Dropped the rangefinder gun for this watch and am very happy with the move…

Not as easy to use as some may think.

Got this as a gift . Not easy to use. Takes time to load and doesn’t keep track of scoring well. Not impressed

Great purchase

I am completely satisfied with this watch. Very accurate yardage distances, love the last shot distance feature as well. Comfortable to wear and stylish looking. Almost 4 rounds before it needs recharged.

Excellent Watch

The watch is amazing. It is very accurate on the golf course and provides great data. By using the free app it even tracks shot data that can be studied after the round. Also, works great as an everyday watch with many useful features.

My first GPS watch.

I have had and used for approximately one month. It took time for me to learn how the watch worked. Downloaded the guide from internet and it all started to make more sense. I bought specifically for yardage but I am enjoying all the other features. It is a good watch!

Great features

Love my new Garmin. I am still learning all the wonderful features. It is quick to pick up satellite and is very accurate.

Big numbers easy to read

This was a replacement for an older Garmin golf watch that would no longer hold a charge (can't remember the model # now). Am liking the new features, except I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how to measure a shot.

Not real happy! Difficult time locating satellites

I have an Approach X 40...love, love it. But it now has trouble shutting off. A much better watch!

Great Course Aid

My Approach 52 has been very helpful, so far. Took a few rounds to get used to features but now I’m very comfortable.

Not happy

I had the S40 for years and it worked without issue and switching to it from my fenix for golf everything still tracked. This S42 power cycles mid round at least once. Constantly having to switch holes manually. I have wiped and reset 3 times in 6 weeks. I wish I returned it when I had the chance. Very disappointing.wish I could use my daily wearer watch fenix 7 pro sapphire for golf.

Great for a starter watch

This was a great starter watch. Has many great features but..... I have now upgraded to the S62. More money more features worth every penny to up grade. The Virtual caddy amazing.

Love this garmin golf watch

Great at recognizing the course I am playing at. Easy to see watch face. Tracks the distance to the green from anywhere on the course. Tracks flag, front and back of the green. Only issue is this needs to be charged for every round so I charge it the night before playing. It has the power for 18 but have not tried two rounds.

Disappointed

Everyone I know loves this watch. I’m on the third one and it does not consistently advance to the next hole. My first one was replaced. Now the 3rd one, had to pay a portion $ this time. And still the same problem. Not good.

Easy to use

Most of the time my Garmin Approach S42 is very accurate and adjusts as I progress up a hole. However, occasionally, it displays only the total yardage and doesn't adjust as a play the hole. This is frustrating, to say the least. I have tried updating the watch and have reached out to Garmin help. While they are helpful, that issue has not yet been corrected.

My last Garmin I had for 15 years and battery finally gave out. Purchased the S42 and love it.
