Issues with watch

I’ve only had issues with the approach 42. After about 7 months I had the 1st issue it would find the satellites, EPO was bad a wouldn’t up date. I contacted Garmin and had no problems returning it and sent me out a refurbished approach 42. I had it for about 5 months before the the 2nd issue with it. This time it took forever to find satellites and the would take a long time to load the hole I was on, it then couldn’t load any courses be cause it couldn’t load maps. Update would using Garmin...

Garmin watch is ok only

Although it functions ok, the additional features are difficult to understand. Also, updating the watch is a tedious process. Given other watches out there I wouldn't recommend this watch.

Works great.

I use it every time I play golf. I depend on the info for every shot.

Inaccurate distance

Much to my surprise the Garmin 42 is inaccurate off by as much as 20 yards per hole. I have used Garmin products for many years including cycling computers and radar.never had a problem until now

comfortable to wear, easy to use, good viewing nice looking

Beyond my expectations

I purchased my garmen a year ago but never paired it with my phone. How stupid. This is amazing.

It’s Only OK

I’ve had this watch for awhile now. It’s basically ok. But, it’s difficult to navigate between screens and as far as I can tell, if you make a mistake with your club selection, there’s no way to fix it until after the round on the phone app - very annoying. It oftentimes does not recognize when you’ve taken a shot and you have to pound your club on the turf to make it record.

More features than I expected, great

bought a month ago to replace S40 which I damaged the screen well worth the cost

Received as a Christmas gift. Still learning how to use the watch.

We love these watches, they are stylish, easy to use, would be lost without them.

Course selection is fantastic very accurate and very easy to use I play a lot of golf and it’s so easy to calculate the front of the green or the center of the green.

So far so good, spring will tell!

I received as a Christmas gift from my son. I have completed the initial setup BUT December through February are NOT golf months in Kentucky. Can't wait to try it in 2025.

Nice golf watch but….

This is my 3rd Garmin watch and I really like the feature they offer. The reason why I have three is that once the battery gets old and dies, it is nearly impossible to find anybody that replaces them.

it’s complicated

It seems like the features are difficult to use. I’m still getting used to it and the distance is off by 10 yards. I don’t remember the yardage being a problem with other Garmin I’ve had. It just changed the clock face and I haven’t been able to figure out how to put it back. Everything takes time and energy.

Course identification

Love it. Have an issue when identifying my near by course it keeps loading a course that was the old course name for the one I play now. Have downloaded correct course and still happens. Need to follow up with tech department

Terrible watch

I received this as a replacement watch and it was worse than the first. Four out of 5 times using it, it either didn’t sync to the app or it couldn’t pick up a course from the satellite. I had to call Garmin five times and they’re now me an s62. But it’s a refurbished one so don’t have high hopes of it’s functionality

Easy Peasy

This watch was easy to set up and easy to use. I have used it on two different courses and no problem except two holes that were modified but the satellite hasn't picked up the change yet.

Still cold. Still a few months to figure out. Instructions worthless.

I got this for Christmas and it is working well except for sometimes in the shower... over all recommended for fitness and golf!

Great features

Very easy to operate with a lot of funtions. I have used it only once, yesterday because of the cold weather plus I had Covid, So I have not been able to check all the functions as yet. Great touch screen!
