R10 works well and is accurate. I use an Android phone and no free courses with it like there is with IOS, so not overjoyed with my purchase.

Amazing performance for its size

The Approach R-10 is packed with features. Easy to setup, easy to bring along with you to the driving range. Great APP and useful learning tool for any Golfer. Would recommend this to a friend.

Accurate and easy to use

I get accurate shot data and it’s very easy to use. Some shot are not registered but I believe it’s due to my furnace being very close

Just doesn't work all the time.

I'm familiar with your brand with your R 10 is a pain when it works. It's great and it should work when I turn it on, but it does not. I'm frustrated every time I go to use it. What's the secret to making it work on demand?

Easy and fun feedback tool

I’ve been using the R10 for 2 years mainly in the garage and hitting into a net. The R10 is very easy to use and provides basic feedback. I’ll usually warm up on the range mode and then transition to playing a 18 hole course. Better than expected

Go by the snail. Check out the videos where it hangs with golf simulators 10 to 15 times as much as this one easy to use get the awesome golf app and get better.

Very happy with this purchase. I do think the driver is the only club with inaccurate data. Irons are right on target

Great features for the price!

The Garmin R10 has been awesome to use during range sessions. I've been looking to get some real data about my swing path, club and ball speed, spin rates, etc. This has provided that to me at a great price. It is admittedly not going to be as accurate as a Trackman or Foresight laugh monitor, especially if you are using the cheap range balls, but it gets the average weekend golfer like me close enough to start putting a plan to improve together, based off of the data. Definitely worth the money...

Works well for price

I bought this almost a month ago. Out of the box it sets up pretty easy, but I have struggled to get it dialed in to more accurate tracking. The spin and shot shape is not right yet. I have it set to 7 ft behind hitting area, and about 10-12ft tee to impact screen. It works for practice for sure, but is not accurate yet. I have played some local indoor golf places to assess the differences in distance and spin, and I am finding this to be an issue. Hoping to get it more dialed in.

A friend of mine has the same launch monitor. We had been talking about it for a while before I bought mine. We talked about the instant feedback while swinging in the back yard. It's nice to have a tool like this when trying to learn a new swing.

Very frustrated

I bought this for winter practice in my shop. I’m very frustrated. Only occasionally picks up my swings. Distance is not even close. Only thing that seems close is swing path and club face angle.

easy to use, ~70% track rate, 80% accuracy

I bought this two weeks, used it a few time at the range. Very easy to setup and use, but track rate is at best 70%, 30% of hits not tracked. Of those recorded, directional deviation is 80% accurate. I'll keep using it because it's easy to setup. But I hope future software upgrades will improve accuracy.

Great for what it is

Range balls just don't compress the same so it's hard to get great numbers on carry but it tracks the ball well. If you walk to close behind it sometimes it throws the next shot off but other than that it is really easy to use. Pair my phone and hit range, switch between clubs and see my dispersion patterns. Favorite thing is to try and hit 50 yard shots which I suck at and is satisfying to see the feedback and be able to adjust feel the dial in the distance.

My wife gave the Garmin to me as a Christmas present and so far, I love it. I have not played any courses yet. However, the practice sessions have been great. I use an Apple AV cable to HDMI connected to a 27-inch computer monitor. In the near future I plan on mounting a 50-inch tv in my garage which i am sure will enhance the experience. Great product overall!

Got this as a gift and found it worked well at the driving range. Has many features. I used it for the first time so I will be using it more once I get a net for the back yard

Doesn’t work without a computer

Device doesn’t record any parameters in the app (yardage, spin, etc.) but shows ball flight. Technical service said I have to connect it to a computer to repair it. But I won’t have access to a computer for a week. The device should work out of the box. Apparently I can’t fix it with a phone or iPad.

Great product, versatile and accurate. Easy to take with you wherever you go.

Perfect for the Range

Genuinely a great way to analyze your range work! No longer do you just hit balls. You can really know how far you're hitting and how much spin. Getting to know your average club distances are key and the R10 gives you all that data. If you are changing your grip or your swing you can see the actual numbers as to if those changes are helpful or not. If range work is boring it won't be with the R10.
