Not a very accurate monitor

I have had my r10 for about a year and not happy with the Garmin app being so generic with home town hero and practice . R10 is to difficult to use on anything other than iOS platforms and shots are way off on distance . I would not recommend this product and should have known after buying a garmin fishfinder .

Excellent Tool

Purchased it to help improve my ball striking. I needed to correct my club face at impact. The Garmin R10 helped tremendously. Well worth the investment. I can’t wait to dive into some of the other features.

Incredibly helpful and fun!

We are learning to play golf. I got the R10 mainly so we could practice at home in our yard. It's fantastic! We are able to not just work on our skills, but play against each other as well. Shockingly exceptional!

The R10 is a feature heavy marvel! I have found the device to be reliable, consistent, and downright entertaining! As relatively new golfers, my wife and I are very excited to use the measured and algorithmic data to refine our performance and move towards tangible improvements. We love the Garmin, especially when bundled with Awesome Golf!

Easy to use

I have used this device approximately 5-6 times. It appears to capture the ball impact appropriately 80% of time. Some of that 20% is probably less than ideal device placement. The audio read-out feature is nice.

simple and accurate

Love it. simple and fast to set up with each use, just turn it on. the different driving range options are make it fun to practice. the swing capture feature is so helpful. highly recommend.

Found the R10 easy to setup and use. Love the results and games.

I should have bought this in the Spring

I like what the device shows me about my swing. I would prefer it be able to capture a set of 20 or so swings so I could look them over later rather than only being able to review the last one. I plan to use this before the start of next season to get rid of most of my bad shots.

R-10 APPROACH

I’ve used the R-10 Launch Monitor for a few weeks now and based on my current experience I’d give the Unit a good review. I’m finding that the different unit(s) of measure (data fields & ball impact) are in the ballpark but not as accurate as the Trackman. But you would expect that since the Trackman is considerably more expensive. My review is based on only using irons, no fairway woods or driver. Best purchase of the ever!

I have had my R10 for almost a year now and still use it every day. I could not be happier with it all around. Golf practice is fun again. About a month ago I had a tech issue with the unit. Garmin fixed it up quickly no questions asked. Honestly the best money I have ever spent!

For the price, this launch monitor is awesome! Gets everything you need, provided good details, and helps you better understand some of what's happening in your swing. While many of the data points are "calculated"in don't get caught up too much in them. Even though they may be slightly off, they are close enough to provide insight that you can utilize to make changes or better understand your game. Have recommended this HIGHLY to a number of people!

Freedom!

Freedom to enjoy without a monthly subscription! If you are someone who only hits periodically on a temporary net... then buy a Garmin. The R10 is the only reasonable priced monitor that offers a few free national courses to try . Also if you want to try a local course then you can buy just a single month. Because I have/had other launch monitors... for sure.i can say this has the easiest and most dependable connection for an iPad.
