wonderful lights but DO NOT string 3 sets!

Beautiful....but you can only string TWO sets together. Each one is 175w or 1.6amp. Fuse is 5amp so 3 strings is 4.8amp---too close. I initially strung along 5 strings and the fuse in string #1 blew in about 5 minutes. the spare fuse is in the plug which is handy. I then had to split five strings into three circuits using Extension cords. Also use a timer, since 5 strings on for 5 hours costs about 50cents in most places, or $15 a month.

Maximum of 2 strands

You can only connect a maximum of 2 strands or it blows a fuse. Not enough to do any reasonable exterior decorating

Unsafe, probably shouldn't be legally sold

Bought three strands. Within about a minute after plugging these in, they are too hot to touch. Definitely a fire hazard, especially on a tree. They are the closest thing I could find to the old timey Christmas lights in appearance, but get too hot and waste way too much energy. You are also limited to a max of 3 strands being connected together, I'm guessing because of how much power they draw. So their appearance is great, but they're also a fire hazard and a disaster for your electric bill.

Bad lights

We bought 4x boxes of the lights for indoor use for around the the windows. After putting them up and turning them on a few bulbs did not go on and the ones that did go on were very hot to the touch. This is too dangerous for small children that we had to return them.

Bright, a little hot to the touch

They’re bright and have vintage appeal but we’re very hot to the touch and several bulbs did not work 😞

Not for excessive outdoor use

We bought 5 strands of these at the end of the season last year. Plugged them all I and tested them before packing them away and they all worked. Yesterday we hang them all up (4 strands) and voila, they all worked! They looked beautiful and we loved them. We had them on a timer. I noticed this morning they weren't working. I got on here to look at reviews just to find out that every person trying to use more than 2 strands at a time are experiencing the same exact issues. It's a shame that thes...

Blew out as soon as put up

My husband put up lights all over the house, plugged them in and one set blew out. Tried plugging in one at a time and that one blew. Took all down and brought in the house and plugged in another set and the sparks flew all over him. They looked beautiful for about 2 minutes. Returned $140 worth of lights!

Blows fuses

These looked great for two weeks then they blew a fuse. We replaced the fuse and it blew again immediately. We got rid of the boxes and the receipt because we liked them at first! There are better options for your money.

Not good in rain

We have these outdoors and the bulbs had water in them after a rain storm, and went out. After they dried out, one of the strands never turned back on.

No spare fuse

I purchased 6 sets of these lights and blew a fuse when I had more than two sets connected. There was no spare fuse in any of the boxes even though the instructions say they come with a spare fuse.

Fire hazard

These lights are a fire hazard put them around my windows on the outside of my house, and they started to melt my siding. If my wife hadn't noticed would have melted a hole through siding. Now I have hot burnt spots on siding. Don't buy

Buyer Beware

These bulbs are made of very fragile glass. One was broken right out of the box. Pretty sure they’re thinner than an egg shell. Would not recommend.

Where are all the reviews?

I wrote a (purchase verified) review back on 11/19/2022. In searching reviews both on my PC and iPhone Lowes app, only 30 reviews are listed. Sorting "Newest Reviews First," there is nothing newer than Jan. 15, 2022. Strange...

Xmas lights

Not bad. Decent set of lights. Do not quite match the other lights but that’s ok.

VERY DANGEROUS

After burying these today I unpacked them and plugged them in to test them. They got super hot right away. I could feel the heat emanating from them while they sat on the counter, the majority of them still placed in that plastic framing in which they come. I thought that maybe that happens when they first get plugged in? So I left them for a few minutes. They started melting the plastic case in which they were packaged. Bad news.

Really bad

I bought these last year and I cant believe how awful these lights are. They break so easily and they also get very hot. My 7 year old was helping me and he grabbed one of the bulbs and screamed. Very hot to the touch.

Horrible quality.

I purchased these last year, four boxes for my house. I wanted to have a throw back to the old style lights. I regretted this decision as soon as I started hanging them up. One after another the bulbs were braking, we were very careful with them while handling them. After getting the strings up, a couple wouldn't light so I tried to change them. The first bulb snapped and cut my finger. Don't waste your money buying these.

Lights are not very bright. Not impressed at all.
