Avoid. Didn't last 3 years

2.5 years old (since purchasing and installed) and it just started shooting sparks when in use today, during Thanksgiving week... it's always been cleaned with just soap and warm water. The electricity shooting across the top of the microwave is a huge problem and per other reviews, I'm not the only one with this failure!

Look for a long service life with great features

I’m very happy with this microwave oven. I replaced a similar model that lasted slightly less than 24 years. I’m expecting a long service life from this model.

Powerful and works great

This microwave is very powerful and works great. We usually cook foods at a slightly lower power setting than the recipe calls for to make them come out perfectly. We love the microwave!

Easy to use and great functions

Microwave is good. First time using microwave after professional installation the fan started making a clicking noise. Also, seems to steam a lot more than our previous microwave which was the same brand different model. Other than that it is your typical microwave and all other functions work great.

Microwave dies

This microwave stops working only in about 18 months.

Door Problem

Door very difficult to open; depressing the latch opens the door approximately 1/8", requiring use of fingernails to open the door: poor quality control on this one.

Great features!

This new microwave will be installed in our new house. It will fit perfectly into our new custom kitchen. Our local appliance store has been our store for over 40 years. They give great service.

Stylish and works great

I was hesitant on this microwave due to some of the reviews. It has been a great microwave! The kit does help to have 2 people to install the built-in pieces easier, however my husband managed it. We had been using a tiny microwave so it took some adjustments to having one that actually has power behind it. I've been pleased with it.

Product you can count on and most importantly they

Have had this same type ( replacement models as older ones no longer built ) for 25 years. It’s easy to use all functions and never had issues until they wear out lasting 12 and 13 years

Nice, but paint peeling issues

It is a nice microwave and works well, but after 4 years the paint peeled exposing metal on the inside. Judging from some of the other reviews, this is not uncommon

Looks great and great side but stop working too so

Internal paint falling and getting rusted. Stop working short it out.

product failure

I purchased this microwave to replace the dead two year old GE Profile (similar model) that came with my new house. That new microwave has now died after only two years.

It's a Beauty!!

The newly purchased GE Profile 2.2 CU. FT. Built-In Sensor Microwave Oven is spanking new and just installed. A microwave is a microwave ... however, I am intuitive and will probably send another review to add a star (or 2!) The fact it has a sensor and a convection oven excites me. It fit into the frame my husband constructed for a built-in microwave. It is white and once the GE Required 27" Trim Kit is acquired, this will be a welcome addition to our kitchen. Model: Peb7227DL4ww

Controls are awesome

Best microwave we have ever had. Love the sleek control panel.

A little noisy...

This is our 2nd microwave of this model. The 1st lasted only 3 years. I got the same model only because I already had the trim package for it. This one is noisier than the 1st even being brand new. But it's working fine.
