Better than Sonic!

I am completely delighted with our new GE ice maker - this smooth operator makes the perfect nugget ice! It is such a pleasure to have this appliance in our kitchen; the stainless steel door with its heavy duty handle is a beauty! We can’t recommend this ice maker highly enough - thank you, GE!

Great and Quiet Icemaker

Makes great ice. Very quiet operation and reasonably easy to install. Ours is install inside a pantry cabinet. It does generate some heat while making ice but we installed a some vent fan in the side of the cabinet, problem solved! We use our icemaker several times a day and love it.

Best Ice Maker

This ice maker is the best, no problems at all. I was even able to install a drain pump per the instructions.

No ice

Ice maker cropped making ice twice in the first three months I owned it. Had to order a part the second time. Never came in, waited three months for it with no ice. Now have a replacement ice maker.. hope this one works.

Setup was a breeze

Just got it up and running. It’s only been about 10 min and nuggets are falling, so that a win. Will monitor it the next few day and review the post if I run into any issue. The only part that took some time was switch the door opening, but if that’s not a need for you then it shouldn’t take you more then 30 minutes to get up and running.

Best ice maker of all time

I’m beyond impressed with my new ice maker. I have purchased every ice machine around my area yes even a ge opal. But this ice machine is hands down the best one ever for real. I don’t even go to sonic anymore.?and I ordered any where from 2 to 4 bags a day. Now I fill my thermos and bring my own ice from home everywhere I go.

Ice machine is just what we wanted. Works great and ice is clean and chewable.

Beware

This ice machine makes great nugget ice. But unlike the previous nugget ice machine we owned, (which was not a GE brand) the bin does not stay full The previous ice machine we owned when it was about 25% low, would start making ice, so that ice machine’s bin was basically always full of ice. Our new GE model which was installed a few weeks ago, seems to have to go down to about 75% low, then it starts making ice Most of the time this GE ice machine is about half full or less of ice. GE how far you have fallen

Fought with company for 7 months to finally get our first machine replaced after basically replacing every part in the machine. New machine works ok. Doesn’t always keep the ice filled to the top after three months of use. I would buy kitchenaid instead if I had it to do again. Also had problems with our gas cooktop which they refuse to replace. It is still leaking propane and they tell us it’s our problem. GE isn’t what it once was.

Great machine but a little loud. Otherwise, makes great ice and requires very little attention

Great Ice

We love the ice but the machine makes a whining noise when it’s making ice. The factory repair person seemed to indicate that they make that noise. I was able to go on the app for the ice maker and tell it not to run during the day so it doesn’t make that annoying noise.

Monogram Ice Maker

It is a great ice maker but it does have a bad winning noise when it runs. The appliance repair person couldn’t fix it. Luckily on the app for the ice maker I can turn it off during the day so we don’t have to hear it.
