Would Not RecommendI wish I could give this unit zero stars. Very loud, has already stopped working and parts are super expensive. Overall just a garbage product. And it’s a shame because the ice is awesome.

Doesn't drain well at all!
Would Not RecommendThe GE Profile under counter icemaker is amazing when it works! We love the nugget ice, however, once it melts, the drain cannot keep up and we end up with about 4-6 inches worth of water just sitting in the tank. When the icemaker starts making ice again, it dumps onto all of the existing water and just melts again. Eventually, it does drain, but we have to empty out cups of water for that to happen. It's quite ridiculous.

Great when it's working
Would Recommendworked perfectly for 2 years, did all the required cleaning and filter changes and suddenly stopped making ice.Hard to find anyone in small town to look at it. Call GE they also didn't have anyone in the area for service.

Great when it works quietly.
Would RecommendWe love the ice it produces, however it likes to make a screeching sound that can last for seconds to minutes. It starts and stops randomly, and may go a month without making a sound, then it will screech every 30 minutes for a week. Service says, “hey that’s normal and they all do that”0, but I don’t believe it.

Do not purchase
Would Not RecommendHad to have our unit replaced 2 times. First one delivered not working, 2nd one delivered did not work. This third one is working but runs for 12 hours at a time slowly making ice. Super noisy. It will rest for about 12-15 hours and start running loud again making ice for 12 hours straight. It is heating up my countertop and other cabinets beside it when it runs. Would RecommendFor the price, we love this ice machine. It is our favorite appliance in the house and we will never go. without an ice machine again. It is soft ice and the price was amazing. It does get a little noisy sometimes when making ice. Where we live the water is harder than most areas so I find that I have to clean the machine more frequently than recommended.
