I wish I had looked at these reviews before buying last year I had already hung them up this year only to find out they are not working at all.

Do not buy!

These lights are trash. Only made it a year. Too much $ for only a year of use. I expect much more out of GE and these are a real disappointment. Won’t be buying GE again.

Burned out after two years

I would not recommend given that they burned out after two years. Power was good to light plug and changed the fuses to no avail.

Quality Decline

The other reviews are dead on (actually dead and off). Have a dozen clear reels from 2015 still running. Bought 10 multi-color reels last season. 7 were dead before end of season. Same issue as other reviewers - corroding contacts and only outside 60 days. DO NOT BUY - this product is not manufactured to the same standard as before....

utter garbage vintage trash

these may look sort of vintage c-9 lights. but i'd rather the vintage light sets with the screw in bulbs like Menards sells or TRU Tone bulbs, not this utter garbage which only Oscar The Grouch, or Kamala Harris would like. BUS 78-3 IS A FUN BUS TO RIDE!!!

These are great for 1 year.. then they stop workin

Over the last two years I've purchased 12 - 100 foot strands of these lights. 3 white, 9 multi-colored varieties. The 3 white strands worked one season and now none work. 6 of the 9 multi-colored strands no longer work, 3 do work but a lot of bulbs no longer work. I purchased these thinking a 5 year warranty is really good!! But reading the fine print the buyer has to prepay for shipping to send the actual bulbs strands to a facility in CT. Just work with Lowes and give me my money back OR...

One season and out

Same as many reviews on these. We bought them last year and they worked great! Put them out yesterday and only a few work. One strand doesn’t work at all. For the price you would think they would at least last several years. Very disappointing!

Not good

Lights look good but I have had to replace each season because they stop working. We have 8 sets and only 2 work. I wouldn't recommend because they seem to only work one season.

Good but need spare LED bulbs

I have used these for over 3 years now going on the 4th this year. Yes they have a 5 year warranty but the "Fine" print says a max of 90 days use a year so not really a 5 full year warranty and you have to send the bad string back with receipt also. Quality products, reasonably priced

Lasted one season

Bought these last year and when we went to decorate yesterday, they didn’t work at all. That was a big waste of money for just one season. We chose GE thinking they would be better quality than the other brands. We were so wrong about that!

Dead after 3 seaons

This is my second review of this product. I originally bought this strand in November 2022. They worked great for that first season. Don’t waste your money

We bought these thinking they’d look more like original vintage bulbs. They did so so as far as looks go but we only were able to use them one season and now they do not work at all. I am so furious and will not be purchasing any GE products again if they can’t even figure out how to make Christmas lights work for more than two months out of a year!

Poor quality

I bought these lights 2 years ago. The next year they did not work. So I bought 2 more strings last year to replace them. This year, they don't work! A lot of money spent on lights that only last 1 year.

100’s of dollars wasted

I love Christmas and was excited with these lights. This year I got out my 10 reels, some purchased last year and some the year before. Not one strand lit. I had to replace 100’s of bulbs. The LED wires broke off. This is the second year I’ve had to replace bulbs and spend hours fixing these strands. I won’t purchase ever again. Not designed for outdoor use.

Didn't hold up

These lights were more expensive but I was happy to pay the price if it meant quality. Well these were anything but. In first use this winter numerous lights burnt out and by the time we took them down after 2 mos up they were not functioning. We tried replacing fuse but no luck. Hoping to return as total cost for all the strands were over $200.
