Great Bulbs!

Easy to install and worked as they should. Very bright and has a convenient switch to change light temperature.

As stated on the box, no ballast is required.

It’s nice to have the 3 light option.

Easy Installation - Label missing

Easy as Pie installation, but there is no label in the box to facilitate relabeling of the fixture as indicated in the instructions. GE, can you send me one?

Awesome Replacement Bulbs

These bulbs are awesome and are a great option to get rid of the need for a ballast. Simple directions to direct wire the fixture. They work great and I love the ability to select the color of light. Will buy again.

both bulbs failed shortly after install

one failed after 5 minutes and the second failed after 55 minutes. The fixture is properly wired for 110vac direct wire according to the instructions on the package. I tested the fixture before installing the bulbs and had 120vac and they worked initially. I'll try another set but it doesn't seem good.

Easy upgrade

Easy to rewire fixture to remove the ballast to use the bulbs. Bulbs work great. Only issue is instructions state to apply the warning label to the fixture that it has been modified but there was no label included in either of the 2 boxes I bought.

Switch is flakey

The tube seems to work well after a day, but it didn't come on at first until I fiddled with the color temperature switch. The color doesn't always stay at the desired setting unless you fiddle with the switch to get it to stay. Hopefully it stays now. 🤞

Upgrade your florescence lights

Use this to bi-pass the ballast. Apparently they are discontinuing ballasts now.

My 50 year old magnetic ballasts were failing (loud buzzing, burning the lamps, etc.) , so I decided to remove them entirely. Luckily the electrician left enough slack to run neutral to one end, and hot to the other. At 14 cents per kilowatt-hour, replacing 40watt bulbs and 20 watt ballasts with these 15 watt LED's and using them an avg 4 hrs / day they will pay for themselves in less than two years with nearly $90 in electricity saved with just 5 bulbs. The lifespan is allegedly 50,000 hour...

Great replacement!

I used these to update an old fluorescent fixture. The ballast was dying, so this was a perfect time to remove and replace with these direct wire bulbs. The retrofit was very easy. I have some seen some lights which require new lamp holders, but these do no require anything other than simple re-wiring. You simply cut out the old ballast then wire everything from one side to the neutral wire and the other side to the hot wire. I love that these bulbs have 3 different "temperature" settings. ...
