Wonderful product. When our previous compactor expired, I realized how much we took it for granted. Definitely needed to replace it quickly.

Good, but could be improved.

This is the second time that I have purchased this compactor. The reason that I purchased it again is because the foot pedal broke after only 3 years. After the repairman looked at it, he told me that the foot pedal could not be repaired and that I would have to replace the whole drawer that it would cost almost as much as it would be to purchase a new compactor. quieter than my Kitchen aid

Good, but poor engineering design choices.

Loved it for 2 years until a design error caused the pedal to come loose and pose a safety hazard. A pivot hole for the pedal is metal on metal and very close the the edge, resulting in the hole expanding and pulling out. Typical design standards are 1.5D to 2.5D edge distance. These two holes are <0.5D - violating good engineering practice. Hopefully GE will rectify the problem.

Works great

Only thing missing is the compact and hold feature.

Trash Compactor - Can't live without it!

This trash compactor is very strong and allows us to only use 1-2 trash bags per week for a family of 2. The convenience of limiting trips to trash is worth the cost of this machine. The clean lines match our modern kitchen design well. Highly recommend.

Does the Job

Compacts well, smooth door operation, could be quieter.

This has broken 4 times now in the year that I’ve had it.

modern clean lines

Neat and clean lines. More modern than my last one, which lasted over 34 years. It was still working, but we were modernizing the kitchen and this was part of the upgrade. we are very satisfied with the compactor.

Easy to open

I like the way you open it from the bottom. Helps when you’re cooking.

The two gentlemen who did the installation were quick, efficient and friendly.

Instructions could be clearer; unit works well.

Instructions not clear on how to remove the drawer. "Lifting" straight up is very difficult for one person. Otherwise it works well.

It’s a compactor. Clean look, simple, reliable

Only had the compactor for three weeks. So far so good. The only option I would say I miss is the fact that you could stop the compactor at the Max compaction and leave it otherwise absolutely zero complaints so far.

Sleek

Very nice looking and it's quite when you compact.

Sleek appearance and very reliable

Had a GE trash compactor for decades. This is a replacement model. Same as old one except old one came with a handle. I like this one much better as the handle would get scratches.

Does not pack

Does not pack! This will go through the motions of packing but when you open , there is no difference in where it was.

This compactor is awesome. Looks great , sleek design and easy to use. Easy open and easy compacting. Very quiet and affordable. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a quality compactor
